The concentrations of natural radioactivity in soil samples collected from chromite mines two different towns, Khanozai and Muslim Bagh, districts Pishin Killa Saifullah, respectively, were measured using a high purity germanium (HPGe) detector. average values 226Ra, 232Th 40K found to be 26.414, 37.321 404.561 Bq kg-1, respectively. In Bagh mines, these 17.59, 29.677 380.475 maximum radium equivalent (Raeq), external hazard index (Hex) internal (Hin) 110.851, 0.299 0.356 Khanozai, while the...

A survey of antibodies to bovine immunodeficiency virus (BIV) known as lentivirus and leukemia (BLV) was conducted with samples from water buffalo cattle populations in Pakistan. total 370 buffaloes 76 were tested, 10.3% 15.8%, respectively, found positive for anti-BIV p26 determined by Western blotting, while 0.8% no anti-BLV immunodiffusion test. BIV-seropositive have BIV proviral DNA the peripheral blood mononuclear cells nested polymerase chain reaction. This is first report infections buffaloes.

This study presumably reports the dosimetric properties of MgB4O7 glass system. A series samples with nominal compositions XMgO-(100-X) B2O3, X = 35, 40 and 45 mol% was successfully synthesied using conventional melt quenching method. The presence broad humps absence any sharp peak in typical X-ray diffraction patterns confirm amorphous nature synthesised samples. Good forming ability, 0.55, mixture resulting a excellent stability, 1.4, observed. Thermoluminescence glow curve observed to be...

In this study, we report the dosimetric properties of zinc-doped magnesium borate (MgB4O7:Zn) glass, which was originally synthesized. MgB4O7:Zn glass successfully synthesized through melt-quenching technique. The amorphous nature samples observed X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis and further confirmed field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) analysis. glass-forming ability thermal stability were estimated to be 0.61 1.62, respectively.
