In this letter, a temperature sensor based on fiber ring laser with reflective Sagnac loop is proposed. With great economic value and practical value, the road crack detection is critical for rehabilitation. In this paper, an improved Otsu threshold method based on gray histogram proposed. By modifying probability weighting factor of histogram, proposed improves accuracy target extraction, avoids problem prominent peaks, solves image processing various types. We demonstrate a high-resolution temperature sensor based on optical heterodyne spectroscopy technology by virtue of the narrow linewidth characteristic single-frequency fiber laser. When ring laser has Lorentzian-linewidth <1 kHz and operates in range 3−85 °C, an average sensitivity 14.74 pm/°C is obtained spectrum analyzer. Furthermore, resolution as high ~5 × 10−3 °C demonstrated through electrical analyzer 18.26–18.71 with figure merit up to 3.1 105 experiment.

We report herein an all-fiber single-frequency master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) at 1550 nm with Er/Yb-codoped active fiber and wavelength-stabilized 976-nm LD pump source. A pump-limited maximum continuous-wave output of 56.4 W was achieved under the 150 W, corresponding slope efficiency being 37.0%. Via self-heterodyne method, evolution spectrum linewidth during amplification investigated for high-power MOPA-based laser. The relative intensity noise are 4.21 kHz -110 dBm/Hz, respectively.
