Effect of flat heel-toe difference (HTD) a card on neps sliver and yarn was studied. A new vortex tube structure with small length-diameter ratio, low resistance coefficient and high efficiency based on the basic principle of helicopter is designed by numerical computation experimental study in this paper. The average value error between experiment simulation within 5.6%. This indicates mathematic model can estimate very well. It provided a feasible way for optimal design tube.

The cylinder-flat gauge of 0.56 mm heel-toe difference (HTD) flat with 3 mm-long plane ground on setover was calculated by the method geometry. change curves were given using MATLAB software under three conditions HTD flat, setover, and 0.49 flat.
