Introduction : Durable reconstruction of critical size bone defects is still a surgical challenge despite the availability numerous autologous and substitute options. In this paper, we have investigated possibility creating living allograft, using perfusion/decellularization/recellularization (PDR) technique, which was applied to an original model vascularized porcine graft. Materials Methods 11 forelimbs, including radius ulna, were harvested along with their vasculature interosseous artery...

Predicting dynamo self-generation in liquid metal experiments has been an ongoing question for many years. In contrast to simple dynamical systems which reliable techniques have developed, the ability predict capacity of a flow and estimate corresponding critical value magnetic Reynolds number (the control parameter instability) elusive, partly due high level turbulent fluctuations flows such (with kinetic numbers excess ${10}^{6}$). Last twenties, tissue engineering has rapidly advanced to address the shortage of organ donors. Decellularization techniques have been developed mitigate immune rejection and alloresponse in transplantation. However, a clear definition effective decellularization remains elusive. This study compares various protocols using human fascia lata model. Morphological, structural cytotoxicity/viability analyses indicated that all five tested were equivalent met Crapo's criteria for successful...

In astrophysical context, it corresponds liquid cores planets forced precession planet axis, and has been proposed contribute generation planetary magnetic fields. detect this weak using particle image velocimetry system mounted rotating frame....

We report experimental measurements of the flow in a cubic container submitted to longitudinal libration, i.e. rotation modulated time. Velocity fields vertical and horizontal plane are measured librating frame using corotating particle image velocimetry system. When libration frequency $\sigma_0$ is smaller than twice mean rate $\Omega_0$, inertial waves can propagate interior fluid. At arbitrary excitation frequencies $\sigma_0<2\Omega_0$, oscillating shows two contributions: (i) basic...

We study different types of stationary dynamos observed in the Von Kármán sodium (VKS) experiment when varying electromagnetic boundary conditions on (and in) impellers. The flow is driven with two impellers made soft iron (Monchaux et al 2007 Phys Rev. We apply a solute−solvent approach to theoretical study of vibrational symmetry breaking in aqueous NO3− solution. Experimental infrared and Raman spectra have shown that the NO asymmetric stretches, which are degenerate for isolated anion, split by 35−60 cm−1 dilute As an initial step calculating spectra, we computed distribution energies, or “static spectrum”, resulting mean splitting two stretch eigenstates milieu. We report the first experimental observation of a spatially localized dynamo magnetic field, common feature astrophysical dynamos and convective simulations. When two propellers von Kármán sodium experiment are driven at frequencies that differ by 15%, mean field's energy measured close to slower disk is nearly 10 times larger than one faster one. This strong localization field when symmetry forcing broken in good agreement with prediction based on interaction between dipolar quadrupolar mode.
