The structure and functional properties of okra seed protein (OSP) were characterized, the ultrasonic homogenization process OSP nano-emulsion was optimized by response surface methodology (RSM), its stability also evaluated in this study. results suggested that a high-quality plant protein, rich glutamic acid. molecular weight main subunits distributed range 10-55 kDa, some connected disulfide bonds. Although water oil holding capacities inferior to those soy isolate (SPI), emulsifying...
The acid-hydrolyzed acorn starch samples (HAS-1, HAS-2, HAS-3, and HAS-4) were prepared from natural (NAS) at sulfuric acid concentrations of 1, 2, 3, 4 mol/L for 2 d. particle characteristics structures HAS investigated, Pickering high internal phase emulsions (HIPEs) based on constructed characterized. results showed that with an increase in concentration, the size, yield, amylose content, molecular weight, amylopectin chain length gradually decreased. retained A-type crystal structure,...
We performed ultrasound-assisted extraction coupled with natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES) to achieve the green and efficient preparation of flavonoid extract from Ampelopsis grossedentata leaves. then evaluated its antioxidant antiproliferative activities. A NADES consisting choline chloride glucose at a molar ratio 4:1 20% water was determined be most suitable solvent. The optimal conditions were: liquid-to-solid 30 mL/g, an ultrasonication power 490 W, time 6.5 min. actual yield...
luteolin and phospholipid complex was prepared to improve the lipophilic properties of luteolin. The physicochemical were analyzed by ultraviolet-visible spectrometry (UV), infrared (IR), X-ray diffractometry (XRD) differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). results showed that in joined non-covalent-bonds did not form a new compound. It found an effective scavenger DPPH radicals, with IC50 value 28.33 μg/mL. In Rancimat antioxidant test using lard oil as substrate, also strong activity.
ABSTRACT Leaves of Ampelopsis grossedentata have been consumed in southern China as health tea and herbal medicine. In this study, two kinds flavonoid-rich extracts from leaves A. were prepared by traditional solvent extraction (product A) recrystallization B). By analysis ultraviolet-visible (UV) spectrometry, infrared (IR) electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-ESI/MS, the major flavonoid products...
In this study a complex of naringenin with hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin (HP-beta-CD) was prepared to improve the hydrophilicity naringenin. The physicochemical properties were analyzed by ultraviolet-visible spectrometry (UV), infrared (IR), X-ray diffractometry (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). result showed that had been molecularly dispersed in HP-beta-CD matrix, not forming new compound and HPLC analysis solubility water enhanced from 4.38 microg/mL 1,272.31 microg/mL.
Flavonoids are known to play a role in hypoglycemia by inhibiting α-glucosidase. However, their interaction mechanism with α-glucosidase still needs be elaborated. In this study, the inhibitory activities of 15 flavonoids were investigated. Their molecular volume had negative effect on activity, while number phenolic hydroxyl groups B ring was positively correlated activity. To explain significant differences behaviors myricetin and dihydromyricetin, which have similar structures, compared...
