Abstract Xenotransplantation using pig organs has achieved survival times up to 195 days in orthotopic heart transplantation into baboons. Here we demonstrate that addition an improved immunosuppressive regimen, non-ischaemic preservation with continuous perfusion and control of post-transplantation growth the transplant, prevention transmission porcine cytomegalovirus (PCMV) plays important role achieving long times. For first time PCMV xenotransplantation was associated a reduced...

Abstract T helper 9 (T H 9) cells promote allergic tissue inflammation and express the type 2 cytokines, IL-9 IL-13, as well transcription factor, PPAR-γ. However, functional role of PPAR-γ in human remains unknown. Here, we demonstrate that drives activation-induced glycolysis, which, turn, promotes expression IL-9, but not an mTORC1-dependent manner. In vitro ex vivo experiments show PPAR-γ-mTORC1-IL-9 pathway is active skin inflammation. Additionally, find dynamic regulation glucose...

Sézary syndrome is a leukaemic variant of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma with poor prognosis. With the exception stem cell transplantation, current treatments for SS are not curative. Rather, they aim at reducing disease burden and improving quality life. Yet, pruritus - major cause impaired life in these patients notoriously difficult to treat. Thus, supportive addressing agonizing urgently needed. To explore clinical immunological effects type 2 cytokine blockade dupilumab as treatment...

T helper 2 (Th2) cells crucially contribute to the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis (AD) by secreting high levels IL-13 and IL-22. Yet, upstream regulators that activate Th2 in AD skin remain unclear. IL-18 is a putative regulator as it implicated has capacity cells.

Abstract T helper 9 cells (T H 9) are key drivers of allergic tissue inflammation. They characterized by the expression type 2 cytokines, such as IL-9 and IL-13, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR-γ) transcription factor. However, functional role PPAR-γ in human remains unknown. Here, we demonstrate that drives activation-induced glycolysis, which, turn, specifically promotes IL-9, but not an mTORC1-dependent manner. In vitro ex vivo experiments on skin samples contact...
