Zingiberaceae is taxonomically complex family where species are perennial herb. However, lack of chloroplast genomic information severely hinders our understanding in the research evolution and phylogenetic relationships. In this study, complete (cp) genomes fourteen Curcuma were assembled characterized using next-generation sequencing. We compared genome features, repeat sequences, sequence divergence, constructed relationships 25 species. each species, ranging from 155,890 bp (Zingiber...

Coconut cake is an abundant and good potential edible protein source. However, until now it has not been extensively used in the food industry. To promote its usage, characterization, nutrition value antioxidant activity of coconut fractions (albumin, globulin, prolamine, glutelin-1 glutelin-2) were studied. Results revealed that all albumin, glutelin-2 showed a high value. The exhibited radical scavenging reducing power, globulin prolamine ion chelating ability (89.14-80.38%). Moreover,...

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of small non-coding RNAs that repress gene expression. In plants, the RNase III enzyme Dicer-like (DCL1) processes primary miRNAs (pri-miRNAs) into miRNAs. Here, we show SMALL1 (SMA1), homolog DEAD-box pre-mRNA splicing factor Prp28, plays essential roles in miRNA biogenesis Arabidopsis. A hypomorphic sma1-1 mutation causes growth defects and reduces accumulation correlated with increased target transcript levels. SMA1 interacts DCL1 complex positively...

Abstract Plant non-specific lipid transfer proteins (nsLtps) have been reported to be involved in plant defense activity against bacterial and fungal pathogens. In this study, we identified 135 (122 putative 13 previously identified) Solanaceae nsLtps, which are clustered into 8 different groups. By comparing with Boutrot’s nsLtp classification, classified these eight groups five types (I, II, IV, IX X). We compared nsLtps Arabidopsis Gramineae found that (1) Types I, II IV shared by...

Although the multipotency of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) makes them an attractive choice for clinical applications, immune modulation is important factor affecting MSC transplantation. At present, effect treatment with MSCs on non‑alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has received little attention. In present study, a compact bone‑derived method was used to isolate mouse (mMSCs) and high‑fat diet establish model NAFLD. Immunophenotypic features mMSCs were analyzed using flow cytometry....

Bacterial wilt (BW) is a serious disease that affects potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) production. Although resistance to this has been reported, the underlying mechanism unknown. In study, we identified NAC family transcription factor (StNACb4) from and characterised its structure, function, expression, localisation at tissue role in BW resistance. To end, transgenic Nicotiana benthamiana Domin lines were generated which expression of NACb4 was constitutively upregulated or suppressed using...

Although nonspecific lipid transfer proteins (nsLTPs) are widely expressed during plant defence responses to pathogens, their functions and regulation not fully understood. In this article, we report the isolation of a cDNA for new nsLTP, StLTPa7, from cultivated potato (Solanum tuberosum) infected with Ralstonia solanacearum. The was predicted encode type 1 nsLTP containing an N-terminal signal sequence possessing characteristic features nsLTPs. A phylogenetic analysis showed that encoded...

TGA is one of the members TGACG sequence-specific binding protein family, which plays a crucial role in regulated course hormone synthesis as stress-responsive transcription factor (TF). Little known, however, about its implication response to bacterial wilt disease potato (Solanum tuberosum) caused by Ralstonia solanacearum. Here, we performed an silico identification and analysis family based on whole genome data potato. In total, 42 StTGAs were predicted be distributed four chromosomes...
