Based on power balance and stability of grid, pumped storage station plays an important role in modern system. Motor-generator is the main equipment a station. The fault rate operation reliability motor-generator directly related to safe stable even grid. This paper summaries different types faults with several examples treatment large-scale motor-generators, puts forward corresponding countermeasures suggestions, which provides good reference for similar prevention diagnosis.
