Novel carbonylated pyrazole phosphonates have been synthesized as single regioisomers by treating conjugated enones, dienones, tropone, and quinone with the Bestmann-Ohira reagent under KOH/EtOH conditions at room temperature. Through an "interrupted" version of above reaction, spiropyrazoline from arylidenecycloalkanones similar (K(2)CO(3)/EtOH) absolute regio- diastereoselectivity. The key structures were confirmed detailed spectroscopic analysis X-ray crystallography.
Gold nanoparticles were deposited on carbon nanotubes to provide access a nanohybrid structure which was involved in the aerobic oxidation of alcohols. The nanohybrid-catalyzed reaction shown be highly efficient under mild conditions (i.e. room temperature, air) and selective alcohols corresponding acids or aldehydes could achieved, depending conditions.
A one-pot, two-step, three-component method for the conversion of commercially available aldehydes to phosphonylpyrazoles has been developed, demonstrating, first time, dual reactivity Bestmann–Ohira reagent (BOR) in a single-pot transformation.
