SUMMARY Jasmonates (JAs) are key phytohormones that regulate plant responses and development. JASMONATE‐ZIM DOMAIN (JAZ) proteins safeguard JA signaling by repressing JA‐responsive gene expression in the absence of JA. However, interaction cooperative roles JAZ repressors remain unclear during Here, we found OsJAZ6 interacts with OsJAZ1 depending on a single amino acid so‐called ZIM domain rice transduction JA‐regulated spikelet In vivo protein distribution analysis revealed content is...

Accumulation of secondary metabolites is one the common reactions plants to ozone exposure in nature. To investigate effect on production desired compounds plant cell cultures, we assayed hypericin Hypericum perforatum suspension cultures treated with different doses at culture phases. The results show that contents cells 60 180 nL L(-1) are significantly higher than those control, showing may stimulate synthesis. Hypericin exponential phase lag and stationary phase, which suggests more...

Abstract Floral patterning is regulated by intricate networks of floral identity genes. The peculiar MADS32 subfamily genes, absent in eudicots but prevalent monocots, control organ identity. However, how the family genes interact with other homeotic during flower development mostly unknown. We show here that rice transcription factor OsMADS32 regulates interacting synergistically E class protein OsMADS6 a dosage-dependent manner. Furthermore, our results indicate important roles for...

Here, we describe an Se-auxiliary mediated ligation protocol capable of rapid native chemical ligations at sterically hindered junctions, followed by in situ auxiliary cleavage under neutral conditions without affecting unprotected Cys residues. This auxiliary, which is prepared from phenyl acetaldehyde one step, can be conveniently attached to the N-terminal region a peptide via reductive amination or coupling reaction. We demonstrated this methodology synthesizing two protein samples.

Here, we describe a convergent synthesis of the human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (hGM-CSF) harboring both O- and N-glycosylation sites using Se-auxiliary-mediated ligation protocol together with native chemical methodology. The robust rapid Se-mediated enables assembly N-terminus hGM-CSF in just 4 h, which is significantly faster than traditional ligation/desulfurization method. Therefore, this new methodology could help to produce glycoform libraries more efficiently...

The aim of this study was to investigate differences and correlations between the pediatric Voice Handicap Index (pVHI) Voice-Related Quality-of-life (pVRQOL) questionnaires in children with without voice disorders. This a cross-sectional study.A total 418 parents aged 2 14 years participated from May 2016 July 2017. included 221 disorders (dysphonic group) 197 (control group). scores for pVHI pVRQOL were compared, correlation analysis performed.Compared control group, dysphonic group had...

Abstract Sirtuin 2 (SIRT2) is one of seven mammalian homologs silent information regulator (Sir2) and an NAD + ‐dependent deacetylase; however, its critical role in lymphangiogenesis remains to be explored. We investigate SIRT2 mediated regulation vascular endothelial growth factor D (VEGFD) expression by deacetylating PAS domain protein 1 (EPAS1) head neck cancer (HNC) vitro vivo. In this study, we report that SIRT2, rather than other members the Sir2 family, reduces VEGFD hypoxia‐induced...

Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide. Recent research studies have revealed that GM3 derivatives considerable promise as potential therapeutic agents for cancer. To discover novel antitumor agents, one-pot enzymatic synthesis was established, yielding 14 in high total yields (22–41%). Subsequently, the inhibitory activities were assessed by wound-healing assays and Transwell tumor-bearing animal models. Among all derivatives, N-12 showed excellent migration invasion effects cells...

The body volume constraint hypothesis is a widely accepted notion that explains proximate limitation of female reproductive output, but lacks empirical support. To examine how determines we experimentally manipulated the lacertid lizard (Takydromus septentrionalis), to whether reduction in caused output. Clutch size and mass decreased with volume. Reproductive output (residual clutch mass, R(CM)) was negatively related (BVR) (R(CM)=-0.008BVR+0.225). In contrast, neither egg nor offspring...
