The rare earth doped borosilicate glass materials of composition (60 − x) B2O3 20 SiO2 10 Na2O MgO x Dy2O3 have been prepared by melt quenching method. X-ray diffraction confirms the amorphous nature present glasses. FTIR spectra reveal structure density, molar volume, average molecular weight, ion concentration, polaron radius and field strength determined. optical parameters like band gap, refractive index, dielectric constant, polarizability, reflection loss, refractivity, metallization...

Glass system (80% B2O3 – (20 y)% Na2CO3 y% CdO, where y = 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 mol%) prepared by meltquenching technique checked XRD reveals the amorphous nature of these glasses. Increases in density from 2.18 to 2.82 (g/cm3) were observed with an increase CdO content. Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-VIS) absorption spectra polished parallel surfaces glass samples showed a decrease optical band gap 3.72 3.59 eV increasing The results suggest that content plays role as network modifier. In addition,...

In the present work, MCNPX and Geant4 have been used to calculate mass attenuation coefficient of 26.66 B2O3–16GeO2–4Bi2O3–(53.33–x) PbO–xPbF2 (x = 0, 15, 30, 40 mol %) glasses at 0.122, 0.356, 0.511, 0.662, 0.84, 1.17, 1.275 1.33 MeV photon energies. The obtained results compared with findings XCOM program are found be in good agreement. values effective atomic number, electron density mean free path. exposure build up factor has also calculated energy range 0.015–15 MeV. path samples...

Silver doped sodium borate glasses prepared by melt-quenching technique were checked XRD for their amorphous nature. It is observed that the molar volume increases with increasing Ag2O content leading to open struc- ture. Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) reveals formation of BO3 and BO4 groups upon addition silver oxide as modifier. From Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-VIS) absorption spectra it seen optical band gap increase content. Urbach energy between 0.55 - 0.77 eV. The results...

Proton magnetometers are the oldest scalar magnetometers. The first commercial units were produced in early 1960s as portable instruments. In continuation airborne instruments appeared with optimized speed of readings and sensitivity, large sensors etc. Later development Overhauser optically pumped has eliminated from surveys. However they remain very popular various ground surveys observatories. With this primary purpose generating based magnetic data, Indian Institute Geomagnetism (IIG)...
