In this study, we performed a greenhouse experiment to investigate the effect of cow manure biochar on maize yield, nutrient uptake and physico-chemical properties dryland sandy soil. Biochar was derived from dry pyrolysed at 500 °C. Cow mixed with soil rate equivalent 0, 10, 15 20 t per hectare. Maize used as test crop. Results study indicated that contains some important plant nutrients which significantly affected crop growth. yield were improved increasing mixing rate. Application t/ha...

Increased levels of the pathogenic amyloid β-peptide (Aβ), released from its precursor by transmembrane protease γ-secretase, are found in Alzheimer disease (AD) brains. Interestingly, monoamine oxidase B (MAO-B) activity is also increased AD brain, but role pathogenesis not known. Recent neuroimaging studies have shown that MAO-B expression brain starts several years before onset disease. Here, we show a potential connection between MAO-B, γ-secretase and Aβ neurons.MAO-B...

Spinal cord injury (SCI) often results in various long-term sequelae, and chronically injured spinal cords exhibit a refractory feature, showing limited response to cell transplantation therapies. To our knowledge, no preclinical studies have reported treatment approach with surpassing those of comprising rehabilitation alone. In this study rats SCI, we propose novel combined therapy involving semaphorin 3A inhibitor (Sema3Ai), which enhances axonal regeneration, as the third element...

Solutes spread relative to the mean displacement position during water flow in soils as a result of meandering through (partially) saturated pore complex. Spreading is characterized by hydrodynamic dispersion coefficient convection-dispersion equation (CDE). This has been extensively studied for soils. In this study coefficients nonaggregated dune sand were determined function volumetric contents, θ, ranging from saturation 0.08 cm3cm−3 columns 5-cm diam. and 25- 40-cm length. Unit-gradient...

Evaporation from the soil surface is a major cause of salinization irrigated soils in arid and semiarid regions. To optimize irrigation scheduling under saline conditions, it essential to be able accurately predict solute transport evaporation rate. We conducted laboratory column experiments constant meteorological except for radiation, which was automatically regulated such that temperature remained same as air. The concentration initial solution inflowing water bottom 5.2‐cm‐long were set...
