Chiral pesticides currently constitute about 25% of all used, and this ratio is increasing as more complex structures are introduced. Chirality occurs widely in synthetic pyrethroids organophosphates, which the mainstay modern insecticides. Despite great public concerns associated with use insecticides, environmental significance chirality used insecticides poorly understood. In study, we resolved enantiomers a number pyrethroid organophosphate on chiral selective columns evaluated...

Bisphenol A (BPA) is a ubiquitous environmental contaminant with endocrine disruption potential. In this study, exploiting the outstanding oxidative capacity of manganese dioxide (delta-MnO2), we explored forthe firsttime efficacy and mechanisms BPA removal by MnO2. aqueous solutions, MnO2 demonstrated an extremely efficient to remove BPA. Nearly all (>99%) was eliminated in 6 min pH 4.5 solution initially containing 800 microM 4.4 While humic acid showed negligible inhibition on removal,...

In this study, the concentrations, size-specific distributions, and preliminary exposure assessments of 10 organophosphate flame retardants (OPFRs) were investigated in suspended particulate matter collected from offices. OPFRs detected a range 5.00-147.77 ng/m(3). Tri(chloropropyl) phosphate (TCPP) was most abundant analog followed by tri(2-chloroethyl) (TCEP) triphenyl (TPhP). Chlorinated (TCPP, TCEP, tris(1,3-dichloroisopropyl) (TDCPP)) contributed to about 77% total OPFRs. Size-specific...

Paddy soil dissolved organic matter (DOM) represents a major hotspot for biogeochemistry, yet we know little about its chemodiversity let alone the microbial community that shapes it. Here, leveraged ultrahigh-resolution mass spectrometry, amplicon, and metagenomic sequencing to characterize molecular distribution of DOM taxonomic functional diversity in paddy soils across China. We hypothesized variances significantly associate with changes composition. We report both profiles revealed...

Bisphenol S (4-hydroxyphenyl sulfone, BPS) is increasingly used as a bisphenol A (BPA) alternative. The global usage of BPS and its analogues (BPSs) resulted in the frequent detection their residues multiple environmental media. We investigated potential endocrine-disrupting effects toward thyroid hormone receptor (TR) β. molecular interaction BPSs TRβ ligand binding domain (LBD) was probed by fluorescence spectroscopy dynamics (MD) simulations. caused static quenching LBD. 100 ns MD...

Abstract Single‐atom catalysts (SACs) are desirable in environmental catalysis due to friendliness, structural stability, and maximum utilization of active metal sites. Extensive research has compared the catalytic performance between SACs with different single‐atom metals. However, their is also highly dependent on supports, which play an important role modulating local coordination environment SACs. Unfortunately, a comprehensive review that systematically discusses relationship supports...
