Six new sesquiterpene quinone/hydroquinone meroterpenoids, arenarialins A–F (1–6), were isolated from the marine sponge Dysidea arenaria collected South China Sea. Their chemical structures and absolute configurations determined by HRMS NMR data analyses coupled with DP4+ ECD calculations. Arenarialin A (1) features an unprecedented tetracyclic 6/6/5/6 carbon skeleton, whereas B–D (2–4) possess two rare secomeroterpene scaffolds. Arenarialins showed inhibitory activity on production of...

Seven new sesquiterpene hydroquinone/quinone (SQ) meroterpenoids, cinerols L-R (1-7), along with four known analogues (8-11), were identified from a marine sponge, Dysidea cinerea, collected the shore of Xisha Islands in South China Sea. The structures 1-7 established by analysis NMR, high-resolution MS, and comparison experimental calculated electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectra. Cinerol L (1) is particularly noteworthy, as it features 5H-pyrrolo[1,2a]-benzimidazole moiety modified an...

Dysiarenone (1), a dimeric C21 meroterpenoid featuring an unprecedented 2-oxaspiro[bicyclo[3.3.1]nonane-9,1'-cyclopentane] carbon skeleton, was isolated from the marine sponge Dysidea arenaria. The structure of 1 determined by HRMS and NMR spectroscopic analyses coupled with ECD calculations. showed inhibitory activities against COX-2 expression production prostaglandin E2 IC50 value 6.4 μM in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages.

An unusual secomeroterpenoid, dysambiol (1), was isolated from a Dysidea sp. marine sponge collected the South China Sea. Dysambiol features an unprecedented secomeroterpene scaffold with rare lactone bridge. The structure of 1 determined by extensive spectroscopic analysis, Mosher's method, and electronic circular dichroism calculation. displayed potent anti-inflammatory activity in LPS-induced Raw 264.7 macrophages regulating NF-κB/MPAK signaling pathway.

The Th2-biased inflammation and immune deregulation play a critical role in the pathogenesis of ulcerative colitis (UC). Recent studies indicate that Bcl2-like protein 12 (Bcl2L12) is associated with UC. This study aims to investigate Bcl2L12 induction aberrant inflammation. In this study, peripheral blood samples were collected from patients inflammatory bowel disease. Th2 cell activities analyzed by flow cytometry, real-time quantitative RT-PCR, Western blotting. Mice Bcl2L12-knockout CD4+...

Abstract The pathologic feature of food allergy (FA) is the aberrant Th2-biased immune response in intestine. Regulatory T cells (Tregs) play an important role suppression response. activities TLRs regulate multiple cell functions. This study aims to investigate TLR3 activation regulation intestine by generation inducible Tregs (iTregs). In this study, polyinosinic polycytidylic acid (polyI:C) was used as activator TLR3. An FA mouse model developed establish inflammation effects on iTreg...

Background The biased T helper 2 (Th2) responses play a critical role in the pathogenesis of allergy. underlying mechanism is not fully understood yet. Survivin can regulate multiple cellular activities. This study aims to elucidate survivin development and maintenance Th2 polarization. Methods CD4 + cells were isolated from blood samples collected patients with allergic asthma (AS) HS control (HS) subjects. Mice carrying knockout (KO mice) employed test responses. Results KO mice failed...

The rapid increase in atopic diseases is potentially linked to increased hapten exposure, however, the role of haptens pathogenesis food allergy remains unknown. Further studies are required elucidate cluster differentiation 4 positive (CD4+) T cell response induced by haptens. Dendritic cells were primed trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS) as a or ovalbumin (OVA) model antigen, culture model. BALB/c mice sensitized using TNBS and/or OVA.
