Metastatic bone disease is a major clinical and therapeutic problem. It particularly marked in patients with advanced breast prostate cancer. Taking into account the diversity of consequences skeletal metastases, multidisciplinary patient care should be provided. Among available treatment methods, radionuclide therapy plays significant role. The goal study was to evaluate compare effectiveness radionuclides strontium-89 samarium-153 generalized metastases. We analyzed 132 poor pharmacological...
The purpose of this study was to present the optimization process CT parameters reduce patient exposure during bone SPECT/CT without affecting quality SPECT images with attenuation correction (AC).A fillable phantom reflecting realistic scintigraphy conditions developed and acquired on an AnyScan SC. scans were carried out different x-ray tube current values (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 90, 110, 130, 150, 200 mA) at three high-voltage (80, 100, 120 kV). contrast (C) coefficients variation...
Patients with estrogen-receptor-positive advanced breast cancer are treated endocrine therapy. The majority of localizations show 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake at positron emission tomography (PET) examination. In these patients, the metabolic flare after therapy is common and was proposed as an index efficacy. Nevertheless, prolonged persistence can lead to misinterpretation. We describe a case patient invasive ductal bone metastases scintigraphy FDG PET scan expression estrogen...
Between 1973 and 1977, 254 patients with previously untreated squamous cell carcinoma of the larynx received 60Co external beam therapy; 161 (63.4%) survived without evidence malignancy for five years after radiation therapy alone, 21 salvage surgery. The overall crude survival rate was 182/254, i.e. 71.7 per cent at years. Five-year rates were 81.6 in stage I, 73.4 II, 40.8 III.
