247 salivary gland lesions were subjected to fine needle aspiration (FNA) cytology; 179 designated as neoplastic and 68 non-neoplastic. Based on cytomorphologic features, the non-neoplastic subcategorised. All but 36 of histopathologic study. The overall diagnostic accuracy FNA cytology for was 91%. sensitivity rate detecting malignant tumours 87.8% specificity 98.0%. There 100% cytodiagnosis benign tumours. high makes a valuable modality in evaluation lesions.
