With an aging society, osteoporosis is one of the most common diseases threatening health China's elderly population and issue that raising increasing concern. Osteoporosis characterized by bone loss increased susceptibility to fragility fractures. Various imaging modalities such as X-ray, CT, MRI nuclear medicine along with assessment mineral density (BMD) play important role in its diagnosis management, treatment requires multidisciplinary teamwork. A lack consensus approach BMD...
Abstract Introduction Predicting the postoperative neurological function of cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM) patients is generally based on conventional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) patterns, but this approach not completely satisfactory. This study utilized radiomics, which produced advanced objective and quantitative indicators, machine learning to develop, validate, test, compare models for predicting prognosis CSM. Materials methods In total, 151 CSM undergoing surgical...
The preoperative prediction of lymph node metastasis (LNM) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is essential prognosis and treatment strategy formulation. To compare the performance computed tomography (CT) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) radiomics models for LNM PDAC.In total, 160 consecutive patients with PDAC were retrospectively included, who divided into training validation sets (ratio 8:2). Two radiologists evaluated basing on morphological abnormalities. Radiomics features...
This study aimed to explore the value of contrast-enhanced computed tomography texture features for predicting risk malignant thymic epithelial tumor.Data 97 patients with pathologically confirmed tumors treated at in our hospital from March 2015 October 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Based on World Health Organization classification tumors, divided into a high-risk group (types B2, B3, and C; n = 45) low-risk A, AB, B1; 52). Texture analysis was performed using first-order, gray-level...
Abstract Purpose To refine the currently used, weight‐grouped protocol for coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA), in terms of radiation and contrast medium dose, through clinical evaluation. Methods Following current routine setting that varies between three weight groups (group A: 55–65 kg, group B: 66–75 C: 76–85 kg), additional reduction protocols were proposed to each group, with different combinations lowered tube voltage (70–100 kVp), (100–220 mAs), iodine delivery rate...
Symptomatic vertebral haemangioma (SVH) can present with atypical imaging features. Thus, this study analysed the features of SVH using CT and MRI to improve awareness. We retrospectively characteristics 118 patients clinically pathologically confirmed SVH.Overall, were diagnosed SVH, including 79 females 39 males (mean age, 45.76 ± 16.36 years). The thoracic spine (n = 86) was most common location followed by lumbar 17). Involvement multiple spinal segments observed in 15 (12.71%). A total...
Objective To evaluate the microstructural integrity of white matter (WM) in mild cognitive impairment ( MCI ) and Alzheimer disease (AD) using DTI technique, to explore relationship between WM abnormalities dysfunction. Methods Nine cases amnestic MCI, 15 probable AD 11 normal controls (NC) with normal-appearing (NAWM) were studied 3. 0 T MR system. Fractional anisotropy (FA) mean diffusivity (MD) measured different areas. One-way analysis variance was used test difference among three groups...
This study used radiomics based on T2*-weighted imaging (T2*WI) and neurite orientation dispersion density (NODDI) to predict the short-term recovery of patients with cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM). By classifying into good poor outcomes 3-month rate, we found both T2*WI- NODDI-based radiomic features have prognostic power. Furthermore, score NODDI was an independent predictor, whereas other were not. These findings suggest that has power for CSM.
