White light: [{Au(L)}3] (L=3-(2-thienyl)pyrazolate) gives dual emission, one from an organic chromophore the other aurophilic stacking interactions. The resulting blue–green and orange–red emissions can be tuned to approach white-light by modulating aggregation behavior of cluster.
We observed an unusual reversible aggregation process showing stimuli-responsive structural dynamics and optical changes attributed to the formation of a sandwich-like Au3-Ag-Au3 cluster, which can be synthesized through both solution mechanochemical methods. Unlike many other heteronuclear gold-silver clusters, affinity two cyclic Au3 complexes Ag(I) ion is solely bound by ligand unsupported Au-Ag bonding. The assembly/disassembly behavior, further forming nanoaggregates, controllable...
The development and optimization of metal-based anticancer drugs with novel cytotoxic mechanisms have emerged as key strategies to overcome chemotherapeutic resistance side effects. Agents that simultaneously induce ferroptosis autophagic death received extensive attention potential modalities for cancer therapy. However, only a limited set or treatment can synergistically tumor cell death. In this work, we designed synthesized four new cycloplatinated (II) complexes harboring an...
Abstract To accelerate the pace in field of photothermal therapy (PTT), it is urged to develop easily accessible agents (PTAs) showing high conversion efficiency (PCE). As a proof‐of‐concept, hereby conventional strategy presented prepare donor–acceptor (D–A) structured PTAs through cycloaddition‐retroelectrocyclization ( CA–RE ) reaction, and resultant give PCE upon near‐infrared (NIR) irradiation. By joint experimental‐theoretical study, these exhibit prominent D–A structure with strong...
The metal-free siloxene nanosheets can serve as a photocatalyst for efficient water splitting without the addition of any cocatalyst or sacrificial agent.
We report an efficient visible light-driven CO2 reduction system that functions in water and without any noble metal nor rare materials. Using the cobalt complex [Co(qpy)(OH2)2]2+ (1, qpy = 2,2′:6′,2″:6″,2‴-quaterpyridine) as a catalyst, organic triazatriangulenium (TATA+) salt photosensitizer (PS), BIH + TEOA (BIH 1,3-dimethyl-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-benzo[d]imidazole triethanolamine) sacrificial reductant (SD), CO formate were first produced with total TON >3700 upon irradiation...
Photoactivated chemotherapy (PACT) provides a new alternative cancer treatment strategy compared to conventional therapy. In this study, series of diisocyano ruthenium (II) complexes Ru(PBO)2(RNC)2 containing 2-benzoxazol-2-ylphenolate (PBO) auxiliary ligand...
Platinum-based chemotherapy drugs play an indispensable role in clinical cancer treatment, but exhibit considerable side effects due to their non-specific mechanism of killing cells and normal cells. In this regard, the use antibodies conjugated anti-cancer platinum complexes will enable better differentiation from Here, six pincer-platinum(II) NHC (N-heterocyclic carbene) are reported, one which has amino group on N-alkyl ligand. This platinum(II) complex is used as payload for...
Eight new nitridoosmium(VI) complexes with the general formula [OsVI(N)Cl3(Hazole)2] have been synthesized and characterized. The cellular uptake antiproliferative activities of these compounds against a panel human cancer cell lines investigated. Complexes pyrazole derivatives (1, 2, 3 4) are found to possess significant in vitro cytotoxicity. Further studies 1 indicate that they induce S phase arrest HeLa cells followed by apoptosis, possibly as result binding DNA.
A nitridoosmium(VI) complex [OsVI(N)(sap)(OH2)Cl] (H2sap = N-salicylidene-2-aminophenol) displays prominent in vitro and vivo anti-cancer properties, induces S- G2/M-phase arrest forms a stable adduct with dianionic 5′-guanosine monophosphate.
This work focuses on the investigation of targeting homometallic mixed-valence copper(I/II) Schiff base coordination polymers (CPs) via a proposed synthetic strategy, namely, in situ immobilization metalloligands. We have designed and synthesized three structurally related isomeric ligands, all which contain chelating bridging sites and, accordingly, obtained two distinctly shaped metalloligands, [Cu(L1)2] (1) [Cu(L3)2] (3a) [HL = pyridinecarbaldehyde isonicotinoyl hydrazone]. By introducing...
Solvothermal reactions of CuSCN, metal (Mn2+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+) sulfate, and terpyridine (2,2':6',2' '-terpyridine or 4'-p-tolyl-2,2':6',2' '-terpyridine) in the presence triphenylphosphine yielded a series hybrid coordination compounds, which situ formed bis(terpyridine) complex cations are encapsulated by 3D anionic network entangled 2D heartlike networks, forming encapsulation polypseudorotaxane supramolecules. The play role as template to direct fabrication structures.
Two complexes, 2D [Cu(2)(CN)(2)(4-Hpcih)](n) and 3D [[Cu(2)(CN)(1.5)(4-pcih)].1.25H(2)O](n) (4-Hpcih = 4-pyridinecarbaldehyde isonicotinoyl hydrazone), were obtained using a synthetic approach of pH-induced formation metalloligands, successfully demonstrating strategy to increase structure dimensionality by tuning the number ligand functional sites.
A series of osmium(VI) nitrido complexes supported by quinolinolato ligands have been prepared and they exhibit promising in vitro anti-cancer activities. These results establish that OsVIN is a potentially versatile platform for the design variety high-valent drugs.
A new series of pyrazoline derivatives 1b-12b was designed, synthesized and evaluated for antiproliferative activity against three cancer cell lines (HepG-2, Hela A549). Additionally, NIH/3T3 cytotoxicity were tested the structure relationships (SARs) also determined. Among these derivatives, compounds 3-(4-fluorophenyl)-5-(3,4,5-trimethoxythiophenyl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazole-1-carbothioamide (1b) 3-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-(3,4,5-trimethoxythiphenyl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazole-1-carbothioamide (2b)...
The inclusion complexes between β-cyclodextrin and 1,8-diazabicyclo-[5.4.0]undec-7-ene (DBU)-based phenolates have been developed employed as heterogeneous catalysts for the cycloaddition of CO2 to cyclic carbonate.
Through varying the carbon chain length of guests, stacking configuration An dimers is finely modulated, which allow a comprehensive understanding structure–properties relationship and excimer formation.
Many cancer-driving protein targets remain undruggable due to a lack of binding molecular scaffolds. In this regard, octahedral metal complexes with unique and versatile three-dimensional structures have rarely been explored as inhibitors targets. Here, we describe antitumor iridium(III) pyridinium-N-heterocyclic carbene complex 1a , which profoundly reduces the viability lung breast cancer cells well patient-derived organoids at low micromolar concentrations. Compound effectively inhibits...
