Since its first report, the class A Brazilian Klebsiella carbapenemase (BKC) has been detected only among Enterobacterales isolates from hospitals. In this study, we characterized a multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas juntendi clinical isolate and identified 43.3-kb plasmid carrying blaBKC-1 1 integron (In1996) containing arr-2, qnrVC1, dfrA21, aac(6')-Ib' gene cassettes. Our results confirm ability of putida group to acquire antimicrobial resistance determinants further act as reservoirs.
