A combination is presented of the inclusive deep inelastic cross sections measured by H1 and ZEUS Collaborations in neutral charged current unpolarised ep scattering at HERA during period 1994-2000. The data span six orders magnitude negative four-momentum-transfer squared, Q^2, Bjorken x. method used takes correlations systematic uncertainties into account, resulting an improved accuracy. combined are sole input a NLO QCD analysis which determines new set parton distributions, HERAPDF1.0,...
Measurements of open charm production cross sections in deep-inelastic ep scattering at HERA from the H1 and ZEUS Collaborations are combined. Reduced $\sigma_{\rm red}^{c\bar{c}}$ for obtained kinematic range photon virtuality 2.5≤Q 2≤2000 GeV2 Bjorken scaling variable 3⋅10−5≤x≤5⋅10−2. The combination method accounts correlations systematic uncertainties among different data sets. combined together with inclusive used as input a detailed NLO QCD analysis to study influence heavy flavour...
A bstract Precision measurements of electron reconstruction, identification, and isolation efficiencies photon identification are presented. They use the full Run 2 data sample collected by ATLAS experiment in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy 13 TeV during years 2015–2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity 139 fb − 1 . The measured have uncertainties that around 30%–50% smaller than previous results due improved methodology inclusion more data. better pile-up subtraction...
A search for single-top production, $ep \rightarrow etX$, has been performed with the ZEUS detector at HERA using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $0.37\fbi$. No evidence top production was found, consistent expectation from Standard Model. Limits were computed via flavour changing neutral current transitions. The result combined a previous yielding total 0.50fb-1. 95% credibility level upper limit 0.13 pb obtained cross section centre-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=315\gev$.
A bstract The production of D 0 , * + $ D_s^{+} and \Lambda_c^{+} charm hadrons their antiparticles in ep scattering at HERA has been studied with the ZEUS detector, using a total integrated luminosity 372 pb −1 . fractions quarks hadronising into particular hadron were derived. In addition, ratio neutral to charged -meson rates, fraction mesons produced vector state, stangeness-suppression factor have determined. measurements performed photoproduction regime. reconstructed range transverse...
A bstract The production of D *± mesons in deep inelastic ep scattering has been measured for exchanged photon virtualities 5 < Q 2 1000 GeV , using an integrated luminosity 363 pb −1 with the ZEUS detector at HERA. Differential cross sections have and compared to next-to-leading-order QCD calculations. cross-sections are used extract charm contribution proton structure functions, expressed terms reduced section, $ \sigma_{\mathrm{red}}^{{c\overline{c}}} . Theoretical calculations based...
