Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI‐MS) is used to probe the complex formation between tebuconazole (1) and copper(II) salts, which both are commonly fungicides in agriculture. Experiments with model solutions containing 1 CuCl 2 reveal initial of species [(1)CuCl] + [(1) CuCl] undergo reduction corresponding copper(I) ions [(1)Cu] Cu] under more drastic conditions ESI source. In additional experiments, copper/tebuconazole complexes were also detected samples made from soil...
Abstract The Cd and Pb complexes with oxalic (OA) citric acid (CA) were detected in model soil solutions using cyclic stripping voltammetry. A mixed complex consisting of Cd, Pb, OA was found; its peak potential varied from −582.0 to −542.5 mV (vs. Ag/AgCl/KCl(3 mol L −1 )). For formation, the presence PbOH + species 2+ solution necessary. Only ‘simple’ CA found solution. existence all investigated metal is confined neutral pH range. also real solutions.
The knowledge of thermodynamic balances among metal species in environmental matrixes can help the understanding processes related to stress plants and design suitable phytoremediation strategy. In these processes, lowmolecular- weight organic acids (LMWOAs) play a very important role, therefore determination metals with LMWOAs is current research interest. Electrochemical techniques available for trace analysis ions are speciation studies including computation stability constants...
Abstract In the soil solutions obtained in situ with suction cups from soils (Cambisol and Fluvisol) of pot experiment Salix smithiana Smith, Lolium perenne L. Thlaspi caerulescens J. & C. Presl heavy metals species (Cd, Pb Cu) were assayed by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry diffusive gradient thin films. Prediction accumulation performed best at free metal ion concentrations unchanged pH (in 10−3 mol L−1 NaClO4 base electrolyte). The speciation provided according to...
In experiments with willow planted in cadmium- or lead-contaminated Knopp nutrient solutions, the ability of and chelex gel diffusive gradient a thin film (DGT) unit to absorb these elements was observed compared. A method compare accumulated amount metals by sorbed metal onto DGT designed. The accumulated/sorbed recalculated same units (μg cm−2 day−1). study Cd(Pb) dynamic uptake showed an exponential decrease content exposure solution. solution less than did matrix. soil/water system more...
A young speckled alder (Alnus incana [L.] Moench) stand was planted on a tract clear-felled due to air pollution and located summit plateau of the Jizerské hory Mts. (Central Europe, Czech Republic) at an altitude 950 m a.s.l. The aim experiment test suitability Alnus form preparatory stands covering site thus enabling reintroduction more sensitive target species. potential respond slow-release fertilizing tested as well. control treatment showed sufficient growth dynamics, nevertheless,...
For the risk assessment of penconazole in environment and evaluation possible consequences its use, it is important to determine how reactivity degradation are influenced by metals commonly found nature, such as copper zinc.Changes presence zinc/copper ions were studied using electrospray ionisation mass spectrometry density functional theory calculations. Many complexes with zinc created; a comparison elements showed that few formed analogously (doubly charged four molecules, singly chlorine...
The aims of the paper were as follows: (1) to assess applicability speckled alder for pioneer stands on mountainous clear-cut tracts and (2) evaluate effects slow-release fertilizer survival growth under harsh environmental conditions. On basis seven-year results we can presume that is a convenient species be cultivated mountain sites where climatic extremes need alleviated layer surface humus renewed. initial fertilization is, nonetheless, highly desirable. As contrasted control planting...
Several 1,2,4-triazoles are widely used as systemic fungicides in agriculture because they inhibit fungal 14ɑ-demethylase. However, can also act on many non-target plant enzymes, thereby affecting phytohormonal balance, free amino acid content, and adaptation to stress. In this study, tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum L. var. 'Cherrola') were exposed penconazole, tebuconazole, or their combination, either by foliar spraying soil drenching, every week, an ecotoxicological model. All...
Rationale The frequently used pesticide cyproconazole ( Cyp ) interacts with the essential elements commonly present in soil which play important roles various enzymatic processes. These interactions predetermine degradation pathways. We suggest a simple experimental and theoretical approach for prediction of behavior. Methods Cu/ complexes are explored because typical Cu(II) reduction complexes. Its level stability Cu–ligand bond depend on type number surrounding ligands. Zn/ were compared...
An experiment with seedlings of Alnus viridis was established on a clear-felled tract situated summit tableland the Jizerské hory Mts. (central Europe, Czech Republic) at an altitude 980 m a.s.l. The aims were (i) to evaluate response A. application basic mixture containing crushed limestone and amphibolite (ii) assess growth potential species in poor acidic site under climatically harsh conditions. showed good performance survival rate, its initial fertilization positive. height expansion...
