We discovered Dentilabus Heinrich (Icneumoninae: Platylabini) for the first time from Eastern Palearctic region. Two new species, D. nigripodus sp. n. [Japan and Korea] iyoensis [Japan] are described. resembles its Western congener, variegatus (Wesmael), but they can be easily distinguished by uniformly black hind femora in nigripodus. With inclusion of iyoensis, we also redefine generic limits Dentilabus. A key to species genus is provided.
Neohybrizon gen. nov. is described from Japan (type species: mutus sp. nov.). This new genus characterized by much reduced mouth parts, long mesoscutum, absence of epicnemial carina, depressed posterocentral area slender stigma, short RS+M fore wing, entirely straight M hind femur which over 5.5 × as trochanter, and using the ant Myrmica kotokui Forel, 1911 its host. A key to genera Hybrizontinae also provided.
Two new species of the genus Pristaulacus, P. ohishii sp. nov. and uenoi are described from Japan. The former belongs to comptipennis group in having strongly concaved occipital margin, is peculiar combination interrupted carina a broadly rounded shallow medial groove. latter resembles ryukyuensis not interrupted, anterior margin mesoscutum lateral view acute veins M+Cu, r-m Cu hind wing pigmented, but they can be easily distinguished by coloration mesosoma dark spots fore wing.
The Japanese species of the genus Linycus Cameron are examined with two recognized. A Holarctic species, L. exhortator (Fabricius) is newly collected from Japan [Hokkaido, Honshû, Shikoku, Kyûshû], and a new kyoheii sp. nov., described Yamanshi Pref., Honshû. can be distinguished by white spot on scutellum (present in vs. absent exhorator), sculpture area between gastrocoeli (weakly rugose-punctate clearly rugose exhortator). We also compared Cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (CO1) European...
The characters that define the subgenus Parabates of genus Netelia are investigated. shape basal apodeme aedeagus is considered to be a synapomorphy this subgenus, suggesting monophyly Parabates. A new species, (Parabates) fusciapicalis n. sp. belonging ishiharai group described from Taiwan, Vietnam and Laos. This sixth extant species first record Laos, Taiwan.
Abstract In Japan, two species of the genus Reclinervellus were found to attack a single host spider, Cyclosa octotuberculata (Araneae). One these, tuberculatus comb. nov., winters as tender larva and has at least generations year. This laid its egg on anterior face host's abdomen. Prior laying an female repeatedly rubbed her ovipositor over dorsal lateral surfaces abdomen near base for more than 25 min. The hatched fixed itself position where was laid, developed by consuming body fluids....
The ubiquinol:cytochrome c2 oxidoreductase (bc1 complex) of Rhodobacter sphaeroides consists four subunits. One these subunits, cytochrome c1, is the site interaction with c2, a periplasmic protein. In addition, sequences fbcC gene and c1 subunit that it encodes suggest protein should be located on side cytoplasmic membrane anchored to by single membrane-spanning alpha-helix at carboxyl-terminal end polypeptide. Site-directed mutagenesis was used alter codon for Gln228 stop codon. This...

Abstract Leafminer flies, especially, L iriomyza huidobrensis , sativae and trifolii are quarantine species in many countries. Their morphological similarity makes identification difficult. To develop a rapid, reliable, sensitive simple molecular method using multiplex PCR we newly sequenced the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I ( COI ) genes of bryoniae chinensis . C hromatomyia horticola four parasitoid species. We aligned them with all sequences leafminer flies found international DNA...
Abstract The beetle Brontispa longissima (Gestro) (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) is a serious invasive pest of the coconut palm, Cocos nucifera I., in Southeast Asia and Pacific region. Genetic analysis essential to ecological evolutionary study such species. We therefore conducted molecular analyses by using partial sequences (1044 bp) mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) genes B. collected from several locations. found two monophyletic groups: one distributed over limited area...
The amino acid sequence of starfish oocyte depactin was determined by aligning lysyl endopeptidase, Staphylococcus aureus V8 protease, and cyanongen bromide peptides. Starfish is composed 150 residues the N terminus free proline. molecular weight calculated to be 17,590, in good agreement with value estimated sodium dodecyl-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Prediction secondary structure shows that contains 64% alpha-helix. Comparison those other proteins no significant similarity.
The amino acid sequence of vitamin D‐dependent calcium‐binding protein from bovine cerebellum has been determined. It is composed 260 residues and its N‐terminus acetylated. molecular mass calculated to be 29 851 Da. presence six sites (I–VI) proposed, two them (sites II VI) have lost their function through replacements, the other four are able bind calcium. domains supposed derived gene duplications ancestral domains. In comparison with chick intestinal deduced a cDNA [(1985) Nucleic Acids...
Troponin I is the actomyosin ATPase inhibitory subunit present in thin filament regulatory complex. The complete amino acid sequence of crayfish tail muscle troponin has been determined. protein composed 201 residues and a molecular weight 23,547. N terminus blocked, likely by an acetyl group. Crayfish shows rather low (20–25%) identity with vertebrate Is as compared to 60–82% within phylum. Similar cardiac I, contains 30-residue-long N-terminal extension. In this segment bears significant...
Objective: To evaluate the clinical characteristics of acute encephalopathy obscure origin (AE). Study design: We examined clinical, imaging, and laboratory findings in children with AE. Specific subtypes AE such as Reye's syndrome (RS), necrotizing (ANE), hemorrhagic shock (HSE), encephalitis refractory, repetitive partial seizures (AERRPS), hemiconvulsion-hemiplegia (HH) were diagnosed. Other patients regarded non-specific subtype. Results: Nineteen identified; specific AEs 14 5. Patients...
With the intention of studying calcium-dependent ciliary reversal in Tetrahymena, we isolated a Tetrahymena calcium-binding protein 10 kDa (TCBP-10) which was not calmodulin and reported its properties (Ohnishi, K., Watanabe, Y. (1983) J. Biol. Chem. 258, 13978-13985). However, immunoblotting with an antiserum against TCBP-10 sequencing cDNAs partial genomic DNAs for this prove that previously is degraded product 25-kDa protein. Thus, correct name from to TCBP-25. From analysis cDNA TCBP-25,...
