Abstract COVID‐19 results in the suspension of life all over world. Universities suspended their academic activities except for online courses undergrad and grad students. However, PhD students both biochemistry molecular biology fields must hold experiments at laboratories. Even under these extreme circumstances, journey a master's or student should not be stopped; on contrary, they need to use times improve knowledge related fields. Therefore, can turn this crisis into an opportunity themselves.
COVID-19 has become a major public health problem since December, 2019 and no highly effective drug been found until now. Numbers of infected people deaths by are increasing every day worldwide, therefore self-isolation protection recommended to prevent the spread virus especially protect risk groups such as elderly population with comorbidities including diabetes, hypertension, cancer, cardiovascular diseases metabolic syndrome. On other hand, young without any secondary disease have died...
Butyl p-hydroxybenzoic acid, also known as butylparaben (BP), is one of the most common parabens absorbed by skin and gastrointestinal tract metabolised in liver kidney. Recent vivo vitro studies have raised concern that BP causes reproductive, development, teratogenic toxicity. However, BP-induced oxidative stress its relation to tissue damage has not been widely investigated before. Therefore, we aimed investigate effects butyl 4-hydroxybenzoate on enzyme activities related pentose...
Abstract In this study, it was shown that abietic acid, an abietane diterpenoid, inhibited soybean 5‐lipoxygenase (linoleate: oxygen oxidoreductase, EC 1.13.11.12) and IC 50 of 29.5 ± 1.29 µ M determined. Since the lipoxygenase pathway leads to biosynthesis leukotrienes result supports view acid may be used in treatment allergic reactions. Copyright © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
Di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) is used as plasticizer in the industry and belongs to family which can induce tissue damage including kidney, liver, testis a result of elevated oxidative stress levels. Glutathione reductase (GR), Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD), glutathione S-transferase (GST), 6-phosphogluconate (6PGD), enzyme activities, trace element mineral levels were evaluated brain samples. Our data revealed that, antioxidant activities samples statistically insignificant...
Glutathione reductase (GR, NADPH:oxidized glutathione oxidoreductase, E.C 1.6.4.2) is a flavoprotein that catalyzes the NADPH-dependent reduction of oxidized (GSSG). GR crucial enzyme in antioxidant system by maintaining reduced (GSH). Glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD, glucose (G6P):NADP(+) EC 1.1.1.49) key regulatory pentose phosphate pathway and maintains NADPH for reductive reactions.Rosmarinic acid (RA; α-O-caffeoyl-3,4-dihydroxyphenyl lactic acid) an ester caffeic (CA)...
Minerals and trace elements play vital role in the biological functions for all organisms including human other mammals. Therefore, imbalance mineral and/or element levels may cause formation of several diseases cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, neurological disorders. ICP-MS (inductively coupled plasma – mass spectrometry) is described as most sensitive accurate method. Here we reported an effective fast protocol method validation to evaluate minerals via mammalian tissue serum...
