We investigated the differences in anthropometrical, hormonal and insulin resistance parameters according to subtype of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) Korean women. recruited 166 women with PCOS retrospectively 277 controls. was diagnosed by irregular menstruation (IM), (PCO) hyperandrogenism (HA). Subjects were divided into four subgroups: IM/HA/PCO group (n = 87, 52.4%), IM/PCO 52, 31.3%), IM/HA 23, 13.9%) HA/PCO 4, 2.4%). Clinical biochemical variables compared among subgroups. The...

Background Hyperandrogenism (HA) has been linked with several components of metabolic syndrome (MetS). Few studies in Asian women have evaluated the important risk factors for and prevalence MetS according to PCOS subtype. In this study, we investigated differences parameters two major phenotypic subgroups Korea. Furthermore, relationship between HA-associated MetS. This study was conducted to examine prevalence and factors ‘elevated A1C’ (≥5.7%) in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). A1C measured using an immunoturbidimetric assay, evaluated 154 patients PCOS 469 age-matched controls (match ratio 1–3). All subjects were categorized by BMI (non-obese <25 kg/m2 obese...

The objective of this study was to determine the effect vaccination against classical swine fever virus (CSFV) on development postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS) in conventional pigs infected experimentally with porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV-2). PCV-2 and immunised modified live CSFV developed mild moderate PMWS, whereas none alone or PMWS. Lesions histologically characteristic PMWS were observed lymph nodes from vaccine, extensive replication detected by situ hybridisation.
