Abstract Egg consumption is very high throughout the world and with it comes enormous amount of waste eggshells. To reduce utilize these wastes, eggshell wastes were simply transformed to low- or high-purity calcium carbonate grades by washing, crushing, drying use as raw materials for producing highly valuable phosphate products. Low-purity grade was used prepare triple superphosphate using in fertilizer industry, whereas produce dicalcium dihydrate, monocalcium monohydrate, tricalcium...
Au nanoparticles supported on alumina (Au/Al2O3) with average particle size of 3.9 ± 0.7 nm and surface plasmon band centerned at 516.5 were prepared by deposition–precipitation method, their photocatalytic activities for the reduction nitrobenzene using either formic acid in acetonitrile (method A) or KOH 2-propanol B) investigated. Even room temperature, Au/Al2O3 was found to be highly active selective conversion aniline when used azobenzene performed under irradiation green light-emitting...
Abstract The chirality-directed self-assembly of bifunctional subunits around a structural metal - typically, zinc(II) is used to form heteroleptic complex in which second set ligating groups are suitably disposed bind metal, forming heterobimetallic catalyst system. We find that subtle changes the backbone (i.e., ligand scaffold) such chiral bidentate self-assembled ligands (SALs) can be manipulate topography and environment catalytic metal; thus, scaffold optimized maximize asymmetric...
Triple superphosphates [TSPs, Ca(H2PO4)2·H2O] were produced by exothermic reactions of oyster shells and different concentrations phosphoric acid (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70% w/w) in a molar ratio 1:2. The percentage yields, P2O5 CaO contents, metal impurities, thermal behaviors all the as-prepared products are dependent on added during production processes, which confirm to get best optimum 60% w/w acid. All characterized several characterization methods [X-ray fluorescence,...
The scallop shell waste (Pectinidae, one of saltwater clams) was used as a raw material (precursor) to prepare calcium lactate (Ca(C2H4OHCOO)2), and the physicochemical properties scallop-derived were then investigated. first ground obtain carbonate (CaCO3) powder, compounds successfully synthesized by reactions between shell-derived CaCO3 lactic acid (C2H4OHCOOH). short preparation time, high percentage yield, low-cost production are preferred manners, and, in this research, it reaction 70...
The search for sustainable resources remains a subject of global interest. Calcium acetate used in many fields was prepared using waste scallop shell as raw material, and its physicochemical properties were investigated. shells transformed to calcium compounds by reactions with four acetic acid concentrations at ambient temperature until the completely dried powder is obtained. maximum yield 87% short reaction time low observed 60%w/w shells. Thermal transformation all samples revealed...
Abstract The solid-state reaction was employed to synthesize Ca 2− x Cu P 2 O 7 by varying the mole ratio between and Cu. structure crystallography of pyrophosphate compounds were identified confirmed using X-ray diffraction (XRD). Rietveld refinement method extended absorption fine (EXAFS) least-squares fitting technique also applied refine sample crystal structure. single phases obtained , CaCuP samples mixing 1.5 0.5 identified, then only a phase subjected structural dielectrical...
Calcium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate (Ca(H2PO4)2·H2O) (a fertilizer) was successfully synthesized through a recrystallization process using prepared triple superphosphate (TSP) derived from oyster shell waste as the starting material. This bio-green, eco-friendly to produce an important fertilizer can promote sustainable society. The shell-waste-derived TSP dissolved in distilled water and kept at 30, 50, 80 °C. Non-soluble powder solution were obtained. fractions then dried,...

Deoxyuridine triphosphate nucleotidohydrolase (dUTPase) hydrolyzes dUTP to dUMP and pyrophosphate maintain the cellular thymine-uracil ratio. dUTPase is also a target for cancer chemotherapy. However, mechanism defining its substrate affinity remains unclear. Sequence comparisons of various dUTPases revealed that Arabidopsis thaliana has unique tryptophan at position 93, which potentially contributes degree affinity. To better understand roles A. was studied. Enzyme assays showed belongs...
The search for sustainable resources remains a subject of global interest and the conversion abundantly available bivalve shell wastes to advanced materials is an intriguing method. By grinding, calcium carbonate (CaCO3) powder was obtained from each bivalves (cockle, mussel, oyster) as revealed by FTIR XRD results. Each individual reacted with H3PO4 H2O prepare Ca(H2PO4)2·H2O giving anorthic crystal structure. calcination mixture its produced Ca(H2PO4)2·H2O, at 900 °C 3 h, resulted in...
This study was designed to manage golden apple snail shells, the wastes created in large amount daily from consumption of meat (Pomacea canaliculata) shells by transforming them advanced compounds; calcium carbonate (CaCO3), monocalcium phosphate monohydrate [Ca(H2PO4)2·H2O], and tricalcium [Ca3(PO4)2]. They were successfully prepared a rapid, simple, environmentally benign method using easily available low-cost instrument. All synthesized samples characterized X-ray fluorescence, powder...
Abstract Black soldier fly larvae (BSFL, Hermetia illucens ) are an alternative source of protein whereas little research has yet been conducted to investigate the potential application feed substrate waste (FSW) from larval production in aquaculture. The nutritive value and physicochemical properties FSW BSFL were here investigated vitro . Ten-day-old first-instar cultivated on two substrates: laying hen (FS I) or a feed-rice bran blend (1:1 w / , FS II). samples collected at day 4.5...
To compare the pre- and post-treatment differences in non-invasive tear breakup time (NITBUT) between a 1 % terpinen-4-ol (T4O) tea tree oil (TTO) eyelid cleanser A randomized controlled trial Thirty-three participants diagnosed with MGD were enrolled. All patients outcome evaluator masked to treatment allocation. One eye of each patient was randomly assigned receive T4O cleanser, while fellow received TTO cleanser. Baseline eight week assessments included collection ocular surface disease...

Abstract We describe a fast, simple, and effective synthesis of N ‐acylhydrazones via solid‐state melt reaction under catalyst‐ solvent‐free conditions. The reactions 2‐furoic hydrazide, 2‐thiophenecarboxylic acid hydrazide substituted alkyl/aryl‐acylhydrazides with aromatic aldehydes proceeded well at 120 °C in only 30 min to give the corresponding products good excellent isolated yields (74–100%) without purification using column chromatography. Gram scale experiments also worked well....
