In this study, the effectiveness of a sustainable corrosion inhibitor derived from acerola peels and seeds (an industrial waste) applied to mild steel substrate (acerola aqueous extract - AAE) was studied. An electroanalytical method based on differential pulse voltammetry was developed using a platinum electrode to monitor the quality and quantity of morpholine-based commercial inhibitors used in oil industry. The voltammetric presented strong linear correlation coefficient with response over concentration range 20 80 mg L−1 detection limit 12 L−1.
