The natural history of right ventricular (RV) and left (LV) size function among adults with tetralogy Fallot (TOF) repair hemodynamically significant pulmonary regurgitation (PR) is not known. main aim this study was to determine changes in RV LV over time an adult population TOF regurgitation.Forty patients repaired PR were included. These identified on the basis having more than one CMR between January 2008 2015. Patients a prosthetic valve or any cardiac intervention studies excluded....

Coronary revascularization in resuscitated out of hospital cardiac arrest (OOHCA) patients has been associated with improved survival. This was a retrospective review OOHCA between 01/07/2007 and 31/03/2009 surviving to admission. Cardiac risk factors, demographics, treatment times, electrocardiogram (ECG), angiographic findings in-hospital outcomes were recorded. Of the 78 patients, 63 underwent coronary angiography. Traditional factors common this group. Chest pain occurred 33.3%...

Hypertrophic osteoarthropathy secondary to Eisenmenger syndrome can produce severe disabling pain. We report two cases treated by intravenous pamidronate infusion with good symptomatic relief. Such therapy greatly improve the quality of life end-stage cyanotic congenital heart patients.

Abstract OBJECTIVES To compare the long-term performance of Nunn and 2-patch techniques for repair complete atrioventricular septal defects. METHODS Between January 1995 December 2015, a total 188 patients (Nunn n = 41; 147) were identified from hospital databases. Univariable Cox regression was performed to calculate risk reintervention in each group. Propensity score matching used balance group RESULTS Baseline characteristics including age at surgery, weight, trisomy 21, other cardiac...

Epipericardial fat necrosis (EFN) is a rare and benign condition. The three cardinal features of EFN are acute pleuritic chest pain, radiological an encapsulated fatty lesion within the epipericardial presence inflammation surrounding pericardium. exact aetiology still unknown, there no known risk factors. condition appears to be transient process with associated long-term complications. In this case study, we demonstrate multitude A 29-year-old Caucasian female presented pain. There were...

Background Transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) plays a key role in adult congenital heart disease (ACHD). However, significant number of studies are nondiagnostic due to poor image quality. Enhancement the blood pool-tissue interface with contrast-enhanced TTE (CE-TTE) can improve quality suboptimal studies. The aim this analysis was evaluate feasibility and clinical utility CE-TTE assessment patients ACHD. Methods A retrospective all performed ACHD at our institution from August 2007 May...

Here we describe a patient where were utilized high surgical risk. Case...
