Mitochondria are vital for energy production and redox homeostasis, yet knowledge of relevant mechanisms remains limited. Here, through a genome-wide CRISPR-Cas9 knockout screening, we have identified DMT1 as major regulator mitochondria membrane potential. Our findings demonstrate that deficiency increases the activity mitochondrial complex I reduces III. Enhanced leads to increased NAD+ production, which activates IDH2 by promoting its deacetylation via SIRT3. This results in higher levels...

Explosive growth in demand for data traffic has prompted exploration of the spatial dimension light waves, which provides a degree freedom to expand transmission capacity. Various techniques based on bulky optical devices have been proposed tailor waves dimension. However, their inherent large size, extra loss, and precise alignment requirements make these relatively difficult implement compact flexible way. In contrast, three-dimensional (3D) photonic chips with size low loss provide...

In this letter, a broadband low-profile dual circularly polarized reflectarray (dual-CP RA) for Ku-band satellite communications is proposed. A novel single-layer metasurface unit cell consisting of functional layer, an air layer and metal plate investigated first. The structure printed on the F4B substrate. can effectively extend bandwidth, overall profile only 0.12λ0, where λ0 represents wavelength at 11.725 GHz. To independently control phase left-handed (LHCP) right-handed (RHCP) waves,...

To investigate the subjective and quantitative image quality radiation exposure of CT enterography (CTE) examination performed at low tube voltage concentration contrast agent with adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction (ASIR) algorithm, compared conventional CTE.One hundred thirty-seven patients suspected or proved gastrointestinal diseases underwent enhanced CTE in a multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) scanner. All cases were assigned to 2 groups. Group A (n = 79) based on...

DNA damage is the major cause of senescence and apoptosis; however, manner by which DNA-damaged cells become senescent remains unclear. We demonstrate that leads to a greater level rather than apoptosis in DBC1-deficient cells. In addition, we show BLM becomes degraded during damage, induces p21 expression senescence. DBC1 binds shields from degradation, thus suppressing ML216 promotes DBC1–BLM interaction, aids preservation following suppresses enhances pulmonary function lowering levels...

Renal tumors are very common in the urinary system, and preoperative differential diagnosis of homogeneous renal remains a challenge. This study aimed to evaluate feasibility whole-lesion CT texture analysis for identification including clear cell carcinoma (ccRCC), chromophobe RCC (chRCC), oncocytoma (RO). retrospective was approved by our local IRB. Contrast-enhanced examination performed 128 patients histopathologically confirmed ccRCC, chRCC, RO. The one-way ANOVA test with Bonferroni...
