Genetically uniform plant material, derived from Lychnis flos-cuculi propagated in vitro, was used for the isolation of 20-hydroxyecdysone and polypodine B subjected to an evaluation antifungal antiamoebic activity. The activity 80% aqueous methanolic extracts, their fractions, isolated ecdysteroids were studied against pathogenic Acanthamoeba castellani. Additionally, a Microtox® acute toxicity assay performed. It found that fraction root extract exerts most potent amoebicidal at IC50 0.06...

Lychnis flos-cuculi L., a species with potential medicinal value, contains flavonoids, phenolic acids, triterpenoid saponins and ecdysteroids. In this study, the antioxidant activity of plant material L. obtained from in vitro cultures compared to that intact plants natural site has been evaluated for first time. Phytochemical screening in-vitro-derived by ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS) confirmed presence aforementioned metabolite classes. The...

Lychnis flos-cuculi L. is a species containing ecdysteroids, triterpenoid saponins, flavonoids, and phenolic acids, therefore plant of potential medicinal value. In the presented research, diverse in vitro cultures this taxon were developed to obtain uniform material capable producing including micropropagated plantlets, shoot cultures, liquid agitated whole with fast-growing roots, callus. A protocol micropropagation through axillary bud formation was established using growth regulators at...

Lychnis flos-cuculi L., Caryophyllaceae, contains a number of active compounds belonging to several chemical groups. Previous studies have led the identification phytoecdysteroids, triterpenoids saponins, volatile compounds, fatty acid derivatives, phenolic acids and flavonoids. Research on pharmacological activity showed that plant extracts inhibited growth bacteria fungi. The antimitotic properties preparations from herb L. were also reported. phytochemical analyses demonstrated this taxon...
