To develop and evaluate an effective cleaning procedure for rotary nickel-titanium (NiTi) endodontic instruments.New instruments (ProFile size 25/.04) were contaminated by preparing canals of extracted teeth. Three factors evaluated to sequence: dry or moist storage before cleaning; mechanical removal (brushing); chemical dissolution in 1% NaOCl with ultrasonication. Debris on flutes was scored after staining situ Van Gieson's solution at x45 magnification. classified as stained unstained...
To investigate the response of immature permanent teeth with nonvital pulps after revitalization procedures using cone beam computed tomography imaging and conventional radiograph.Clinical records patients who had undergone between 1997 2014 were collected. Seventeen attended follow-up examination. Clinical examination radiographic by means CBCT radiographs conducted to evaluate treatment outcomes, especially dimensional changes root pattern maturation. Statistical analysis was Fisher's...
Abstract Background : The cleaning of endodontic and all dental instruments prior to sterilization is a prerequisite for their processing re‐use. This study aimed develop clinically practical protocol rotary nickel‐titanium (NiTi) files sterilization. Methods Cleaning experiments were conducted on six different types that had been used human teeth. involved three components mechanical chemical removal root canal debris from the files: use sponges soaked with chlorhexidine remove gross...
ABSTRACT Apexiflcation aims to induce apical closure of the open root apex with a hard‐tissue barrier, against which filling can be compacted. Despite popularity apexification procedure, calcium hydroxide therapy has some disadvantages that include variability treatment time, unpredictability closure, difficulties patient follow‐up and delayed treatment. Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) is potential barrier material good sealability high degree biocompatibility. This paper demonstrates...
Abstract Background Tricalcium silicate is the main component of commercial bioceramic cements that are widely used in endodontic treatment. Calcium carbonate, which manufactured from limestone, one substrates tricalcium silicate. To avoid environmental impact mining, calcium carbonate can be obtained biological sources, such as shelled mollusks, cockle shell. The aim this study was to evaluate and compare chemical, physical, properties a newly developed cement derived shell (BioCement) with...
Abstract Aim To measure the temperature distribution within tooth structure during and after application of thermal stimuli used pulp sensitivity testing. Methodology Extracted intact human maxillary anterior teeth were investigated for changes at labial enamel, dentino‐enamel junction (DEJ) pulpal surface a 5‐s six different stimuli: hot water (80 °C), heated gutta‐percha (140 carbon dioxide dry ice (−72 refrigerant spray (−50 stick (0 °C) cold (2 °C). J‐type thermocouples heat conduction...
Cleaning of dental instruments before sterilisation is an essential part processing for re-use. Rotary nickel-titanium (NiTi) files as obtained from the manufacturer are mostly not sterile and require cleaning both first use We describe here two simple, practical protocols that effective in removing organic debris files. NiTi can be safely re-used infection control perspective.
Potential aerosols containing severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) viral particles can be generated during dental treatment. Hence, patient triage is essential to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 in clinical settings. The present study described use rapid antigen tests for screening prior treatment an academic setting Thailand pandemic. opinions personnel toward test were also assessed. From August 25 October 3, 2021, patients who expected receive generating...
