Tumor hypoxia and aerobic glycolysis are well-known resistance factors for anticancer therapies. Here, we demonstrate that tumor-associated macrophages (TAM) enhance tumor in mice subcutaneous tumors patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). We found a strong correlation between CD68 TAM immunostaining PET 18fluoro-deoxyglucose (FDG) uptake 98 matched of NSCLC. also observed significant glycolytic gene signatures 513 NSCLC from The Cancer Genome Atlas database. secreted TNFα to...

Abstract BACKGROUND: This study was undertaken to evaluate the prognostic value of quantitative metabolic parameters in [ 18 F]2‐fluoro‐2‐deoxyglucose (FDG)‐positron emission tomography (PET) for diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL). METHODS: A total 140 DLBCL patients underwent FDG‐PET scans before rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisolone (R‐CHOP) chemotherapy. The maximal standardized uptake (SUV max ) lesion glycolysis (TLG) were calculated, with margin...

A Smart Grid intelligently monitors and controls energy flows in an electric grid. Having up-to-date distributed readings of grid conditions helps utilities efficiently scale generation up or down to meet demand. Narrowband powerline communication (PLC) systems can provide these from subscribers the local utility over existing power lines. key challenge PLC is overcoming additive non-Gaussian noise. In this paper, we propose use a cyclostationary model for dominant component The...

We aimed to investigate the feasibility of machine learning (ML) algorithm distinguish pseudoprogression (PsPD) from progression (PD) in patients with glioblastoma (GBM). recruited diagnosed as primary GBM who received gross total resection (GTR) and concurrent chemoradiotherapy two institutions April 2010 2017 presented suspicious contrast-enhanced lesion on brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) during follow-up. Patients were allocated training (N = 59) testing 19) datasets, respectively....

Significance Here, we are reporting our findings that hypoxia-inducible factor 1 (HIF-1) activation in monocytes promotes neovascularization matrigel and improves blood flow hindlimb ischemia through production of vascular endothelial growth S100A8. We found HIF-1 regulates S100A8 expression specifically isolated from unique strain transgenic mice targeting HIF pathways.

Objective:The purpose of this study was to differentiate true progression from pseudoprogression glioblastomas treated with concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) temozolomide (TMZ) by using histogram analysis apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and normalized cerebral blood volume (nCBV) maps.Materials Methods: Twenty patients histopathologically proven glioblastoma who had received CCRT TMZ underwent perfusion-weighted imaging diffusion-weighted (b = 0, 1000 sec/mm 2 ).The corresponding nCBV...

Several studies have shown solid evidence for the potential value of targeting epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) signaling to enhance antitumor activity radiation. However, therapeutic resistance has emerged as an important clinical issue. Here, we investigated whether strategies EGFR-associated downstream would radiosensitize a panel non-small cell lung cancer lines.
