Abstract Multiresponsive materials that display predefined photoluminescence color changes upon exposure to different stimuli are attractive candidates for advanced sensing schemes. Herein, we report a cyano‐substituted oligo( p ‐phenylene vinylene) (cyano‐OPV) derivative forms five solvent‐free solid‐state molecular assemblies, luminescence properties of which change thermal and mechanical stimulation. Single‐crystal X‐ray structural analysis suggested tolyl groups introduced at the termini...

We have prepared a series of ten 3-arylcoumarin molecules, their respective fac-[Re(CO)3(bpy)L]+ and fac-[Re(CO)3(L⁀L)Br] complexes tested all compounds for antimicrobial efficacy. Whereas the ligands are virtually inactive against human-associated pathogens with minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) > 150 μM, when coordinated to fac-[Re(CO)3]+ core, most resulting showed remarkable antibacterial potency. Several rhenium exhibit activity in nanomolar Gram-positive such as Staphylococcus...

In the context of global health issue caused by growing occurrence antimicrobial resistance (AMR), need for novel agents is becoming alarming. Inorganic and organometallic complexes represent a relatively untapped source antibiotics. Here, we report computer-aided drug design (CADD) based on 'scaffold-hopping' approach synthesis antibacterial evaluation fac-Re(I) tricarbonyl bearing clotrimazole (ctz) as monodentate ligand. The prepared molecules were selected following pre-screening in...

Four novel dimeric bis-μ-imido bridged metal–metal bonded oxidomolybdenum(V) complexes [MoV2O2L′21–4] (1–4) (where L′1–4 are rearranged ligands formed in situ from H2L1–4) and a new mononuclear dioxidomolybdenum(VI) complex [MoVIO2L5] (5) synthesized salen type N2O2 reported. This rare series of imido-bridged have been furnished H3L′1–4 ligands, containing an aromatic diimine (o-phenylenediamine) "linker", where Mo assisted hydrolysis followed by −C═N bond cleavage one the arms ligand H2L1–4...

Indium is a nonphysiological toxic metal widely used in industry. While misunderstood, its toxicity proposed to be linked perturbation of Fe3+ homeostasis through the binding In3+ ions essential iron metalloproteins such as transferrins. Therefore, monitoring and biological environments prime interest for both basic research diagnosis. Here we report design salen-type anthracene-based probe able selectively sense discriminate Fe2+/3+ by fluoro-colorimetry.

Indazoles are high value chemical building blocks used in medicinal chemistry and materials science for their distinct structural functional features. This study details a [3+2]‐cycloaddition reaction between various aryl‐ketodiazoesters ortho‐(trimethylsilyl)aryl triflates under mild conditions, leading predominantly to 1‐acyl‐1H‐indazoles. N‐aryl‐1H‐indazoles aryl benzoates were also observed as other products. The exhibits broad group tolerance scalability, making it valuable synthetic...

An efficient strategy for the synthesis of monoamine end-functionalized living polymers using ring-opening metathesis polymerization with ruthenium initiators is reported. A new end-capping agent this purpose was synthesized, and its efficiency end-functionalization evaluated two common ruthenium-based initiators. Finally, terminal cross-metathesis also explored as another alternative toward amine polymers, comparison between techniques presented.
