ALICE is the heavy-ion experiment at CERN Large Hadron Collider. The continuously took data during first physics campaign of machine from fall 2009 until early 2013, using proton and lead-ion beams. In this paper we describe running environment handling procedures, discuss performance detectors analysis methods for various observables.

The transport properties of the strongly-coupled quark-gluon plasma created in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions are extracted by Bayesian parameter estimate methods with latest collision beam energy data from LHC. This analysis includes sophisticated flow harmonic observables for first time. We found that temperature dependence specific shear viscosity shows weaker than previous studies. results prefer a lower value bulk and higher switching to reproduce additional observables....

The transport properties of quark-gluon plasma created in relativistic heavy-ion collisions are quantified by an improved global Bayesian analysis using the CERN Large Hadron Collider Pb--Pb data at $\sqrt{s_{\textbf{NN}}}=2.76\;$ and $5.02\;$TeV. results show that uncertainty extracted coefficients is significantly reduced including new sophisticated collective flow observables from two collision energies for first time. This work reveals stronger temperature dependence specific shear...

Active Pixel Sensors used in High Energy Particle Physics require low power consumption to reduce the detector material budget, integration time possibilities of pile-up and fast readout improve data capability. To satisfy these requirements, a novel Address-Encoder Reset-Decoder (AERD) asynchronous circuit for pixel matrix has been developed. The AERD data-driven architecture operates address encoding reset decoding based on an arbitration tree, allows us only hit pixels. Compared...

ALICE plans to replace its Inner Tracking System during the second long shut down of LHC in 2019 with a new 10 m2 tracker constructed entirely monolithic active pixel sensors. The TowerJazz 180 nm CMOS imaging Sensor process has been selected produce sensor as it offers deep pwell allowing full in-pixel circuitry and different starting materials. First full-scale prototypes have fabricated tested. Radiation tolerance also verified. In this paper development charge sensitive front end...

Since parallel manipulators have relatively small workspace when compared to serial manipulators, it is important determine the in design stage. However, due complexity of closed-loop chain mechanism, determination difficult. In this paper, a fully geometrical method for 6-DOF presented using concept 4-bar linkage. The reachable and dexterous can be determined from proposed algorithm. order evaluate workspace, each leg considered as an open chain, two kinematic constraints-position mechanism...

Heat shock protein 70 (Hsp70) is a well-known anti-apoptotic that blocks multiple steps in the stress-induced apoptotic pathway. Enhanced Hsp70 expression has previously been demonstrated rheumatoid arthritis (RA) fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLSs). The authors investigated role of survival RA FLSs sodium nitroprusside (SNP)-treated environment.Targeted knock-down was performed by RNA interference at passage 3-7. After SNP treatment, morphological features apoptosis were observed...

Phospholipase D (PLD) has an important role in various biological functions including vesicular transport, endocytosis, exocytosis, cell migration, and mitosis. These cellular processes are deregulated the development of human tumors. In order to explore relationship between PLD1 gene risk non-small lung cancer (NSCLC), single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) exon region were surveyed 211 NSCLC patients 205 normal controls. this study, we identified six SNPs at 23 gene.
