In this paper, we develop a new compensated split-step θ (CSSθ) method for stochastic differential equations with jumps (SDEwJs). First, it is proved that the proposed convergent strong order 1/2 in mean-square sense. Then condition of (MS) stability CSSθ obtained. Finally, some scalar test are simulated to verify results obtained from theory, and comparison between theta (CST) by Wang Gan (Appl. Numer. Math. 60:877-887, 2010) analyzed.
