Carbon nanotubes (CNTs), α-Fe2O3 nanoparticles (nano Fe2O3) and MgO MgO) were evaluated for the effects on algae growth lipid production. Nano Fe2O3 promoted cell in range of 0-20 mg·L-1. CNTs, nano inhibited Scenedesmus obliquus at 10, 40 0.8 mg·L-1 respectively. Neutral total content increased with increasing concentration all tested nanoparticles. The maximum productivity cultures exposed to was observed 5 mg·L-1, improvement by 8.9%, 39.6% 18.5%. High dose exposure limited increase...

Abstract Microalgae identification is extremely difficult. The efficiency of DNA barcoding in microalgae involves ideal gene markers and approaches employed, which however, still under the way. Although Scenedesmus has obtained much research producing lipids its Here we present a comprehensive coalescent, distance character-based for 118 strains based on rbcL , tufA ITS 16S. four genes, their combined data + 16S, 16S were analyzed by all GMYC, P ID, PTP, ABGD, respectively. It was apparent...

DNA barcoding has recently been proposed as a promising tool for the rapid species identification in wide range of animal taxa. Two broad methods (distance and monophyly-based methods) have used. One method is based on degree sequence variation within between while another requires recovery discrete clades (monophyly) phylogenetic tree. Nevertheless, some issues complicate use both methods. A applied new technique, character-based barcode method, however, characterizes through unique...

Abstract This study represents the first comprehensive molecular assessment of northwestern Pacific molluscs. In total, 2801 DNA barcodes belonging to 569 species from China, Japan and Korea were analyzed. An overlap between intra- interspecific genetic distances was present in 71 species. We tested efficacy this library by simulating a sequence-based specimen identification scenario using Best Match (BM), Close (BCM) All Species Barcode (ASB) criteria with three threshold values. BM...

The effects of pyruvate (Pyr), creatine (Cr-Pyr) and (Cr) on lipid protein metabolism were compared in broiler chickens. A total 400 1-day-old male birds (Aconred) allocated to four groups, each which included replicates (25 per replicate). Treatments consisted unsupplemented basal diet (Control), containing 2% Pyr, 3% Cr 5% Cr-Pyr. Cr-Pyr Pyr significantly decreased the hepatic triglyceride serum cholesterol concentration (P < 0.01). markedly increased non-esterified fatty acid high-density...

Abstract To explore the effects of kelp waste extracts (KWE) on growth and development Brassia chinensis L., germination greenhouse experiments were carried out under different concentrations KWE. The results showed that a higher percentage (95%), associated with high index (8.70), energy (71.67%) seedling vigor (734.67), was obtained lower KWE concentration (2%) compared control. radicle length (4.97 cm), fresh weight (0.32 g/10 seedlings) dry (0.015 significantly increased in treatment 2%...

Several different barcoding methods of distinguishing species have been advanced, but which method is the best still controversial. Chlorella becoming particularly promising in development second-generation biofuels. However, taxonomy Chlorella–like organisms easily confused. Here we report a comprehensive analysis Chlorella-like from Chlorella, Chloroidium, Dictyosphaerium and Actinastrum based on rbcL, ITS, tufA 16S sequences to test efficiency traditional barcoding, GMYC, ABGD, PTP, P ID...

Summary In order to identify the genes involved in fatness variability, we studied expression of several implicated hepatic lipid metabolism broiler chickens with different fat deposition patterns during embryonic development. The mRNA acetyl CoA carboxylase (ACC), fatty acid synthase (FAS), malic enzyme (ME) and apolipoprotein B100 (apoB100) were determined using reverse transcriptase‐polymerase chain reaction (RT‐PCR). Samples livers collected from Arbor Acres (AA) Sanhuang (SH) on day 9,...

Background Correct identification and cryptic biodiversity revelation for marine organisms are pressing since the life is important in maintaining balance of ecological system facing problem crisis or food safety. DNA barcoding has been proved successful to provide resolution beyond boundaries morphological information. Nassarius, common mudsnail, plays an role environment safety, but classification it quite confused because complex diversity. Methodology/Principal Findings Here we report a...
