A new method is reported for preparing carbon nanotube (CNT) films. This involves the continuous production of a hollow cylindrical CNT assembly and its condensation on winding drum. The alignment densification CNTs in film are improved by controlling rate imposition mechanical rolling, respectively. prepared has strength 9.6 GPa, which well above those all other man-made films fibers.

Cotton is white gold across the globe and composed of fiber cells derived from outer integument cotton ovules. Fiber elongation uses sucrose as a direct carbon source. The molecular mechanism transcriptionally controlling transport ovules into elongating fibers remains elusive. In this study involvement GhMYB212 in regulation transportion expanding was investigated. RNAi plants (GhMYB212i) accumulated less glucose developing fibers, had shorter lower lint index. RNA-seq protein-DNA binding...

So far, preparation of high-performance carbon nanotube (CNT)/polymer composites still faces big challenges mainly due to the limited control CNT dispersion, fraction, and alignment in polymers. Here, a new "layer-by-layer deposition" method is put forward for preparing CNT/polymer composite fibers using poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) as an exemplary polymer. This based on continuous production hollow cylindrical assembly from high temperature reactor its shrinking by PVA-containing solution...

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) can cause destructive damage to biological macromolecules and protein dysfunction in bacteria. Methionine sulfoxide reductase (Msr) with redox-active Cys and/or seleno-cysteine (Sec) residues restore physiological functions of the proteome, which is essential for oxidative stress tolerance extremophile Deinococcus radiodurans. However, underlying mechanism regulating MsrA enzyme activity D. radiodurans under has remained elusive. Here, we identified function...

Small non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) are a class of regulatory molecules, which remain understudied in bacteria. In the extremophilic bacterium Deinococcus radiodurans, although hundreds ncRNAs have been identified, few characterized detail. this study, we report identification and characterization novel heat-inducible ncRNA named DnrH. Heat tolerance analysis showed that deleting DnrH significantly inhibited viability response to high temperature conditions. Comparative phenotypic qRT-PCR...
