Tumor progression is associated with cell migration, invasion and metastasis. These processes are accompanied by the activation of specific proteases that either linked to cellular membranes or secreted into extracellular spaces. TNF-α known play an important role in various aspects tumor progression. The aim this work was assess effect on migration breast cancer cells and, addition, its association location membrane-associated lipid rafts. Wound scratch healing Transwell assays were used...

Background: Accurate outcome prediction in gastroesophageal malignancies is challenging. Acute-phase response proteins (APRPs) have been claimed to be independent prognosticators, although the basis for their association with prognosis remains unexplained. We hypothesized that, similarly pancreatic and lung cancers, changes APRPs are associated cachexia accelerated angiogenesis.

The aim of the study was investigation relationship between cachexia syndrome and serum resistin, adiponectin, apelin in patients with gastroesophageal cancer (GEC). Adipocytokines concentrations were measured sera 85 GEC 60 healthy controls. They also evaluated tumor tissue appropriate normal mucosa 38 operated patients. Resistin significantly higher than highest resistin levels found cachectic distant metastasis. Serum adiponectin decreased regional Apelin positively correlated hsCRP...

Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) are important targets for treatment and critical surrogate markers when evaluating cancer prognosis therapeutic response. A sensitive methodology detecting CTCs in gastric (GC) patients is needed. In this study we demonstrate a device enrichment cultivation of CTCs. total, 22 with GC, all candidates surgery, were enrolled the study. Peripheral blood samples collected before re-evaluated within operation divided into two groups: resectable non-resectable GC. new...

MXenes are a family of two-dimensional nanomaterials. Titanium carbide MXene (Ti3C2Tx-MXene), reported in 2011, is the first inorganic compound among family. In present work, we report on study composition and various physical properties Ti3C2Tx-MXene nanomaterial, as well their temperature evolution, to consider for space applications. X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis mass spectroscopy measurements confirmed structure terminating groups surface, revealing predominant single OH layer...

Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), especially MMP-2 and MMP-9, play an important role in tumor invasion metastasis. This study aimed to determine the serum levels of MMP-2, 130- 225-kDa gelatinolytic bands conventional markers, carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) cancer (CA) 19-9, patients with gastrointestinal cancers. The relationship between these parameters clinicopathological factors was also studied.Sera from controls (n=19), colorectal (n=47) gastric (n=34) were collected prospectively....

Lymph node metastasis (LNM) is a key factor for selection of treatment method and patients' prognosis in oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). However, no biomarkers able to support the clinical detection LNM have been reported. Recently, vascular endothelial growth C (VEGF-C) was found be more accurate marker lung cancer than computed tomography. Midkine multifunctional cytokine involved development. We investigated circulating midkine levels ESCC patients (n=73) compared with those...
