We report on a new measurement of the 14N(p,γ)15O capture cross section at Ep=140 to 400 keV using kV LUNA accelerator facility Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso (LNGS). The uncertainties have been reduced with respect previous measurements and their analysis. analyzed data R-matrix method we find that ground state transition accounts for about 15% total S-factor. main contribution S-factor is given by 6.79 MeV state. S(0)=1.7±0.2 b, in agreement recent extrapolations. result has important...
The reaction $^{6}\mathrm{He}+^{64}\mathrm{Zn}$ was studied in order to investigate the effects of projectile neutron-halo structure on mechanism at energies around Coulomb barrier. Elastic scattering angular distributions, transfer∕breakup and fusion excitation functions have been measured. Due low-recoil energy evaporation residues low intensity $^{6}\mathrm{He}$ beam, cross section measured by detecting off-line atomic x-ray emission which follows electron capture decay residues. For...
The 10.15 MeV resonance in 10Be has been probed via resonant 6He+4He elastic scattering. It is demonstrated that it the Jpi=4+ member of a rotational band built on 6.18 0+ state. A Gammaalpha 0.10-0.13 and Gammaalpha/Gamma=0.35-0.46 were deduced. corresponding reduced alpha width, gamma2alpha, indicates one largest alpha-cluster spectroscopic factors known. deformation band, including 7.54 MeV, 2+ member, large (h2/2I=200 keV). Such significant degree clusterization signals well-developed...
Experimental results of the elastic scattering ${}^{6}$He on ${}^{208}$Pb at ${E}_{\mathrm{LAB}}=22$ MeV, measured CRC facility (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium), are presented, including ${}^{4}$He production channel. These data were taken with full angular coverage and high resolution. Both experimental cross sections compared continuum discretized coupled channels distorted-wave Born approximation calculations, where direct breakup transfer to processes considered. The confirm absence Coulomb...
Cross sections for the ${}^{7}\mathrm{Be}(p,\ensuremath{\gamma}{)}^{8}\mathrm{B}$ reaction have been measured ${E}_{\mathrm{c}.\mathrm{m}.}\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}0.35--1.4\mathrm{MeV}$ using radioactive ${}^{7}\mathrm{Be}$ targets. Two independent measurements carried out with different beam conditions, targets, and detectors are in excellent agreement. A statistical comparison of these previous results leads to a restricted set consistent data. The deduced...
The 14N(p,gamma)15O reaction regulates the rate of energy generation in stellar CN cycle. Because discrepancies have been found analysis and interpretation previous capture data, we measured excitation function for energies range E(lab)(p)=155-524 keV. Fits these data using R-matrix theory yield a value S factor at zero 1.68+/-0.09(stat)+/-0.16(syst) keV b, which is significantly smaller than result. corresponding reduction has number interesting consequences, including an impact on...
We have measured the cross section of ${}^{7}\mathrm{Be}(p,\ensuremath{\gamma}{)}^{8}\mathrm{B}$ reaction for ${E}_{\mathrm{c}.\mathrm{m}.}\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}185.8$, 134.7, and 111.7 keV using a radioactive ${}^{7}\mathrm{Be}$ target (132 mCi). Single coincidence spectra ${\ensuremath{\beta}}^{+}$ $\ensuremath{\alpha}$ particles from ${}^{8}\mathrm{B}$ ${}^{8}{\mathrm{Be}}^{*}$ decay, respectively, were large acceptance spectrometer. The zero energy $S$ factor...
The 10.15 MeV resonance in $^{10}\mathrm{Be}$ has been probed via resonant $^{6}\mathrm{He}+^{4}\mathrm{He}$ elastic scattering. It is demonstrated that it the ${J}^{\ensuremath{\pi}}={4}^{+}$ member of a rotational band built on 6.18 ${0}^{+}$ state. A ${\ensuremath{\Gamma}}_{\ensuremath{\alpha}}$ 0.10--0.13 and ${\ensuremath{\Gamma}}_{\ensuremath{\alpha}}/\ensuremath{\Gamma}=0.35--0.46$ were deduced. corresponding reduced $\ensuremath{\alpha}$ width,...

Fusion and transfer $+$ breakup channels have been studied in the collision induced by two-neutron-halo ${}^{6}$He on a ${}^{64}$Zn target at energies from below to above Coulomb barrier. For comparison, reaction stable isotope ${}^{4}$He same has studied. The fusion cross section measured using an activation technique, detecting off-line delayed x-ray activity following electron capture decay of evaporation residues. New measurements sub-barrier performed order cover energy range compare...
The $\ensuremath{\alpha}{+}^{12}\mathrm{C}$ $d$ phase shift and the ${}^{12}\mathrm{C}(\ensuremath{\alpha},\ensuremath{\gamma}{)}^{16}\mathrm{O}$ $E2$ $S$ factor are analyzed in $R$-matrix theory. A new method is proposed to link experimental calculated parameters within formalism. We show that interference patterns near 3 MeV very helpful constrain parameter set. Starting from this analysis, we fit factor, find low-energy values larger than currently accepted. Different found, but do not...
The nuclear system $^{5}\mathrm{H}$ was studied using the $^{3}\mathrm{H}$($t,p$)$^{5}\mathrm{H}$ transfer reaction at a laboratory energy of 57.7 MeV and small center mass angles. angular correlations among decay fragments were obtained by complete kinematical reconstruction. A broad structure in missing spectrum above 2.5 with typical width several identified as mixture $3/{2}^{+}$ $5/{2}^{+}$ states. Analysis interference patterns observed measured disclosed $1/{2}^{+}$ ground state...
The $^{16}\mathrm{O}$($p,\ensuremath{\gamma}$)$^{17}\mathrm{F}$ reaction rate is revisited with special emphasis on the stellar temperature range of $T=60\text{\ensuremath{-}}100$ MK, important for hot bottom burning in asymptotic giant branch (AGB) stars. We evaluate existing cross-section data that were obtained since 1958 and, if appropriate, correct published systematic errors not noticed previously, including effects coincidence summing and updated effective stopping powers. are...
We measured the deuteron-emission branch of $\ensuremath{\beta}$ decay halo nucleus $^{6}\mathrm{He}$ using technique implantation into a highly segmented silicon detector. The method, used here for first time with beam ions, ensures precise normalization; value obtained branching ratio is $\overline{B}=(1.65\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.10)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$ ($6%$ error). summed energy spectra emitted $\ensuremath{\alpha}$ and $d$ particles has also...

Resonances observed between ${E}_{x}{(}^{11}\text{C})=8.6$ to 13.8 MeV. An $R$-matrix analysis was characterize spins partial widths. This showed that sequence states consistent with found for ${}^{7}$Li $+$ $\ensuremath{\alpha}$ resonant scattering...
