• Background and Aims Weedy rice (Oryza sativa f. spontanea) is one of the most notorious weeds occurring in rice-planting areas worldwide. The objectives this study are to determine genetic diversity differentiation weedy populations from Liaoning Province North-eastern China explore possible origin these by comparing their relationships with varieties (O. sativa) wild rufipogon) different sources. Methods Simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers were used estimate 30 Liaoning, each containing...

Detailed facts of importance to specialist readers are published as "Supporting Information". Such documents peer-reviewed, but not copy-edited or typeset. They made...

TiO2 microspheres constructed by well-crystallized faceted nanorods with high aspect ratios expose 100% photocatalytic reactive {111} facets on the spherical surface. The demonstrated excellent antibacterial activity towards Staphylococcus aureus due to effective suppression of photoinduced electron–hole pair recombination and active TiO2@˙OH core–shell structure.

Highly water-dispersible titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles with abundant carboxyl groups were synthesized through a ligand exchange method. Chemotherapeutic doxorubicin (DOX) was then loaded on the TiO2 by non-covalent complexation (TiO2/DOX) or covalent conjugation (TiO2-DOX). The cytotoxicity, cellular uptake, and intracellular location of two formulations evaluated in C6 glioma cells. Our results showed that TiO2/DOX exhibited greater cytotoxicity toward cells than free DOX, while...

Pathogens identification is critical for the proper diagnosis and precise treatment of infective endocarditis (IE). Although blood valve cultures are gold standard IE pathogens detection, many cases culture-negative, especially in patients who had received long-term antibiotic treatment, has therefore become a major challenge clinic. Metagenomic sequencing can provide both information on pathogenic strain susceptibility profile patient samples without culturing, offering powerful method to...

Livelihood resilience research is a critical area in contemporary sustainable livelihood studies, offering valuable insights into residents’ transformation and strategies under sudden shocks or disruptions. This analyzes 365 households from five towns reliant on tourism the Wulingyuan Scenic range, situated central section of Wuling Mountain range. The findings reveal that decreased by 6.38% normal stage (before 2020) to epidemic disruption (2020–2022), followed 4.54% increase during...

Rural social-ecological systems have been significantly impacted by the development of rural tourism, creating substantial challenges for synergistic ecological restoration and agricultural workers’ household livelihoods. In alignment with United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration action plan, it is crucial to understand resilience tourism villages from perspective farmers achieve sustainable development. Wetland ecosystems are represented as a significant reservoir of organic carbon and play an important role in mitigating the greenhouse effect. In order to compare compositions distribution constructed natural river wetlands, sediments from Xinxue River Constructed River, China, were sampled at two depths (0–15 cm 15–25 cm) both upstream downstream locations. Three types determined: light fraction carbon, heavy dissolved carbon. The results show that variations significantly larger between...

Wetlands are an important carbon reservoir pool in terrestrial ecosystems. Light fraction organic (LFOC), heavy (HFOC), and dissolved (DOC) were fractionated sediment samples from the four wetlands (ZR: Zhaoniu River; ZRCW: River Constructed Wetland; XR: Xinxue XRCW: Wetland). Organic (OC) rivers coasts of China retrieved statistically analyzed. At regional scale, HFOC stably dominates deposition OC (95.4%), whereas DOC LFOC ZR is significantly higher than ZRCW.
