The environmental toxicant arsenic causes various human diseases and threatens millions of people worldwide. Recently, a limited number studies have revealed that exposure to is associated with thyroid dysfunction, indicating its toxicological impact on the gland, however, precise forms damage underlying mechanisms remain largely unknown. Here, we sought observe thyrotoxicity sodium arsenite (NaAsO2) follicular epithelial cells (Nthy-ori 3-1) SD rats, explore role Bax/Bcl-2 ratio in above...

In the present study, GIFT tilapia Oreochromis niloticus were exposed to polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) for 7, 14, and 21 days. Over duration of exposure, genotoxicity activity Na+/K+-ATPase (NKA) Ca+/Mg+-ATPase (CMA) measured in gill, kidney, intestine, evaluate changes osmoregulatory response O. niloticus. Our results showed significant decreases organic NKA (except gill tissues after 0.5 mg/L PCB-exposure) CMA activity. The assay increases atp1a1a, nkcc2 (only tissue), fxyd7 days 5 PCB...

Fine Particulate Matter (PM(2.5)-particles with an aerodynamic diameter ≤2.5 μm) can penetrate deeply into the lung, deposit in alveoli, and consequently impair lung function. Both short term long exposures to PM(2.5) are associated incidence of respiratory diseases (e.g. asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cancer). This paper summarizes effects ambient air exposure on human system revealed by epidemiological studies.PM(2.5)是指大气中直径小于或等于2.5...

Arsenic, a well-known environmental endocrine disruptor, exerts interference on the body's system. Our previous investigations have demonstrated that chronic exposure to sodium arsenite (NaAsO2) can induce thyroid damage and dysfunction in Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats. Vitamin D (VD) is an indispensable fat-soluble vitamin plays crucial role maintaining health. In recent years, numerous studies association between VD deficiency development of various disorders. However, precise intervention...
