Abstract BACKGROUND: It has been reported that antidiabetic drugs affect the risk of cancer and prognosis patients with diabetes, but few studies have demonstrated influence different agents on outcomes after anticancer therapy among cancer. The objective this study was to evaluate metformin insulin advanced nonsmall cell lung (NSCLC) plus type 2 diabetes who received first‐line chemotherapy. METHODS: Data NSCLC had from 5 hospitals in China during January 2004 March 2009 were reviewed...

Acellular porcine small intestinal submucosa (SIS) has been used for esophagoplasty with success in a canine model. However, it did not lead to complete epithelialization. For better reconstruction, cellular component is required. Moreover, promotion of angiogenesis copper widely recognized by basic research as well clinical studies. In this study, we have evaluated the feasibility and effectiveness combined Cu SIS (SIS-Cu patch) esophageal repair using Eighteen male beagle dogs were...

AIM:To evaluate the value of plasma N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) level for predicting postoperative atrial fibrillation (AF) in patients undergoing surgery esophageal carcinoma. METHODS:NT-proBNP levels were measured 142 24 h before and 1 after carcinoma. All having a preoperative cardiac diagnosis by electrocardiogram (ECG), remained under continuous monitoring at least 48 surgery, then underwent clinical evaluation until discharge. RESULTS:Postoperative AF occurred...

Myocardial remodeling after ischemic infarction is characterized by collagen accumulation leading to replacement and interstitial fibrosis. Type I III collagens are predominant components in cardiac Lysyl oxidase (LOX) facilitates the cross-linking of type fibrils, resulting formation stiff fibers their subsequent tissue deposition. However, matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), a family zinc-dependent enzymes, function degradation extracellular matrix. Tissue inhibitors for MMPs (TIMPs)...

Background Both acute and chronic myocardial infarction (AMI CMI, respectively) exhibit delayed enhancement; however, clinical decision‐making processes frequently require the differentiation of these two types injury. Purpose To investigate reliability AMI CMI characterization using native T 1 mapping its feasibility for discriminating from CMI. Study Type Case–control. Animal Model The study cohort comprised 12 (mean post‐MI, 3.75 ± 1.29 days) 15 39.53 6.10 Bama mini‐pigs. Field...

It's difficult but urgent to achieve the individualized rational medication of warfarin, we aim predict warfarin stable dose though artificial intelligent Adaptive neural-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). Our retrospective analysis based on a clinical database, involving 21,863 patients from 15 Chinese provinces who receive oral after heart valve replacement. They were allocated into four groups: external validation group (A group), internal (B training (C group) and stratified (D group). We...

Schwannomas are benign tumors of the nerve sheath Schwann cell or sheath, so tumor is also called neurilemmoma. Although this can involve any place where cells present, it arises predominantly in head and neck region flexor surfaces extremities. may occur retroperitoneum, they account for approximately 5% primary neoplasms area [1]. However, schwannomas adrenal gland extremely rare. Primary most often as a rare type incidentaloma with no evidence hormonal hypersecretion [1–8]. When neoplasia...

Abstract Patients requiring low-dose warfarin are more likely to suffer bleeding due overdose. The goal of this work is improve the feedforward neural network model's precision in predicting low maintenance dose for Chinese aspect training data construction. We built model from a resampled dataset created by equal stratified sampling (maintaining same sample number three dose-groups with total 3639) and performed internal external validations. Comparing trained raw 19,060 eligible cases, we...

Abstract A 58‐year‐old male patient was admitted with chest pain and diagnosed coronary heart disease. He scheduled for artery bypass grafting (CABG) under cardiopulmonary (CPB). Intraoperative real‐time transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) showed that the tricuspid valves were well‐aligned subtle regurgitation. Real‐time TEE after separation from CPB severe regurgitation prolapsed chordae tendineae. The tendineae rupture due to a right atrial venous return cannula. use of negative...
