Composite powders of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and aluminum in which the CNTs are homogeneously dispersed within Al powder prepared with an situ method. Uniform Ni nanoparticles scattered evenly on surfaces powders, followed by CNT synthesis through chemical vapor deposition. The hardness tensile strength CNT(Ni)–Al matrix composites improved compared to aluminum.

Al matrix composites (AMCs) are preferred engineering materials for aerospace and automotive industries owing to their high specific strength, superior wear resistance low thermal expansion. It is a challenge achieve high-quality fusion welded joints of AMCs because the occurrence defects such as pores, particles segregation acicular phases. In this study, effects laser welding parameters including power, speed incident angle on formation porosity phase were investigated in SiCp/6092...

Abstract Aircraft powered by electric motors are becoming an important development direction in the aviation market. High power-to-weight ratio and high-efficiency dramatically increase energy utilisation efficiency of aircraft, high-performance for is a key link green industry. The design high basic support propulsion aircraft. In this paper, 200 kW non-uniform Halbach array inner-rotor permanent magnet synchronous motor taken as basis design, multi-objective genetic algorithm used to...

Background: The concrete anatomy and functional characteristics of the subtalar ligaments have been a matter debate that some believe has hampered progress clinical ligament reconstruction. Methods: In 32 fresh-frozen cadaver feet, course inferior extensor retinaculum (IER) other was carefully measured photographed both from portal tarsal sinus posterior view. Results: IER inserted inside canal by means 3 roots: lateral, an intermediate, medial one. These roots, along with canal, divided...

Alumino-thermic additions to the flux-cored wire can be utilized enhance welding heat input, improve productivity, and minimize dependency on power sources in air environment. In this article, influence of Al/Fe2O3 thermite electrical dependency, microstructural characteristics, mechanical performance during underwater wet Q235 steel was investigated. The results revealed that adding exothermic flux enhanced appearance. basicity slag steadily decreased from 1.77 0.73 because formation Al2O3....

Dissimilar joint between 304L austenitic stainless steel and low-alloy 16Mn was underwater wet welded using self-shielded nickel-based tubular wire. Microstructure, mechanical properties corrosion behaviour of dissimilar joints were discussed. Ni-based weld metal fully with well-developed columnar sub-grains. Type II boundary existed ferritic base in welds similar to that air welds. Major alloying elements distributed non-uniformly across the metal/16Mn interface. Maximum hardness values...

The ultrasonic vibration (UV) assisted laser welding was employed to weld Inconel 690 alloy. microstructure evolution, the tensile strength, elongation and fracture behavior of joint were studied through a scanning electron microscopy, an back-scatter diffraction universal testing machine. results indicated that there produced equiaxed crystal region in center where great deal low angle grain boundary distributed due cavitation effect caused by adding UV. In addition, proportion tended...
