In this paper, a series of Na₂SO₄·10H₂O⁻KCl eutectic mixtures were prepared by adding different mass fractions KCl (1 wt.%, 3 5 or 7 wt.%) to Na₂SO₄·10H₂O. Polyacrylamide (PAM) was proposed as the thickener, sodium tetraborate decahydrate (STD) nucleating agent, and expanded graphite (EG) high thermal conductivity medium for Na₂SO₄·10H₂O⁻5 wt.% eutectics. The results showed that in eutectics with PAM STD, almost no phase separation occurred, degree supercooling reduced 0.4 °C. performance...
In this study, 30 subjects were exposed to different combinations of air temperature (Ta: 24, 27, and 30°C) CO2 level (8000, 10 000, 12 000 ppm) in a high-humidity (RH: 85%) underground climate chamber. Subjective assessments, physiological responses, cognitive performance investigated. The results showed that as compared with exposure Ta = 24°C, 30°C at all levels caused feel uncomfortably warm experience stronger odor intensity, while increased mental effort greater intensity acute health...
Previous studies show that pupating in soil is essential for Heortia vitessoides Moore (Lepidoptera: Crambidae) to complete its life cycle. However, little known of the process. In present study, we observed soil-burrowing and pupal-chamber construction by prepupae H. 0.5-cm-wide acrylic plate interlayers. bioassays, also investigated pupation behaviors pupal physiology morphology response moistures 5%, 25%, 45%, 65% water saturation. Prepupae burrowed significantly deeper soils with higher...
In this work, the electrical conductivity of carbon black/poly(methyl methacrylate) composites and its responsiveness to organic solvent vapors were investigated. The black-polymer conducting synthesized by in-situ polymerization. They exhibited a low percolation threshold (~3.3wt% black). electric resistance increased drastically over 10 4 times when they exposed good vapours such as chloroform, tetrahydrafuran ethyl acetate, it recovered transferred air. effect temperature on vapour...
BACKGROUND Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is the most common spinal deformity, but its etiology unclear. Multiple genetic mutations have been reported to be associated with AIS. MATERIAL AND METHODS We enrolled a cohort of 113 surgically treated AIS patients available parental subjects from Peking Union Medical College Hospital. performed whole-exome sequencing in 10 trio families and whole-genome 103 singleton patients. Luciferase assay was used detect functional alterations...
