Based on unsteady numerical simulation, the feasibility of utilizing a fluid oscillator to generate oscillating jets for relieving compressor cascade's corner separation was investigated. First, at design incidence angle, optimal jet position is located where not fully developed (74% axial chord length). Jets more upstream and downstream positions are less effective due premature dissipation effects occurrence high losses, respectively. The effectiveness control through injection increases...

In this paper, a series of Na₂SO₄·10H₂O⁻KCl eutectic mixtures were prepared by adding different mass fractions KCl (1 wt.%, 3 5 or 7 wt.%) to Na₂SO₄·10H₂O. Polyacrylamide (PAM) was proposed as the thickener, sodium tetraborate decahydrate (STD) nucleating agent, and expanded graphite (EG) high thermal conductivity medium for Na₂SO₄·10H₂O⁻5 wt.% eutectics. The results showed that in eutectics with PAM STD, almost no phase separation occurred, degree supercooling reduced 0.4 °C. performance...

In this study, Al, Zn, Mg and Cu elemental metal powders were chosen as the raw powders. The nanocrystalline Al-7Zn-2.5Mg-2.5Cu bulk alloy was prepared by mechanical alloying spark plasma sintering. effect of milling time on morphology crystal structure investigated, well microstructure properties sintered samples. results show that elements gradually dissolved in α-Al with extension ball time. ball-milled Al powder exhibited flaking, crushing welding. When 30 h, particle size 2–5 μm. grain...

In preparation for an experimental study of magnetorotational instability (MRI) in liquid metal, we explore Couette flows having height comparable to the gap between cylinders, centrifugally stable rotation, and high Reynolds number. Experiments water are compared with numerical simulations. Simulations show that endcaps corotating outer cylinder drive a strong poloidal circulation redistributes angular momentum. Predicted azimuthal flow profiles agree well measurements. Spin-down times...

In this study, underwater electrical explosions of aluminum wires various sizes were carried out with an initial energy storage ∼53.5 kJ. Two piezoelectric probes adopted to record the pressure waveforms. The experiments divided into different discharge types, and statistical properties shock-wave parameters types compared. experimental results show that there are three called type A (breakdown type), B (transition C (matched type). differ in resistance characteristics plasma channel during...

In order to satisfy the requirement of dual-frequency, a novel ring shape antenna for dual-band WLAN applications is proposed. The fed by 50Ω microstrip line. configuration simple. proposed consists ring-shape monopole which has two resonating paths with gap. Therefore, can work at bands WLAN. Optimization and radiation efficiency are analyzed HFSS. Both simulation result experimental provided. They coincide each other.

Initial wire resistance is an important parameter in underwater electrical explosion because it directly affects the discharge characteristics of circuit and indirectly shock-wave generation. This paper presents a study on how initial explosions aluminum wires with energy storage ∼53.5 kJ under optimal mode. Load voltage, current, pressure were recorded analyzed. The experimental results show that average channel total deposition all increase resistance. In addition, there no simple...

According to the radio frequency effect mechanism, performances of SMD capacitor used for RF protection SCB initiators were studied theoretically and experimentally. The 99.9% firing power without any is 14.15W, but none in parallel with fired at 20W. results discharge experiment indicate that has no influences on electrical explosive initiators. Its capability was tested by sensitivity experiment, show it could significantly reduce when appropriate capacitor.
