It has been predicted that the Arctic Ocean will sequester much greater amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2) from atmosphere as a result sea ice melt and increasing primary productivity. However, this prediction was made on basis observations either highly productive ocean margins or ice-covered basins before recent major retreat. We report here high-resolution survey sea-surface CO2 concentration across Canada Basin, showing great increase relative to earlier observations. Rapid invasion low...

Phenolic compounds and its antioxidant activity of extracts from seven cultivars Chinese jujubes were investigated by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with standards different evaluation methods, such as phosphomolybdenum assay, superoxide radical scavenging (SRSA), hydroxyl (HRSA), antihemolytic inhibition lipid peroxidation in rat liver homogenate, respectively. The results showed the components are comprised total phenols flavonoids, content ranges 454.3 to 1298.9 (GAE mg/100...

Studies on biological functions of RNA modifications such as N 6 -methyladenosine (m A) in mRNA have sprung up recent years, while the roles 1 cancer progression remain largely unknown. We find m A demethylase ALKBH3 can regulate glycolysis cells via a demethylation activity dependent manner. Specifically, sequencing and functional studies confirm that ATP5D, one most important subunit adenosine 5′-triphosphate synthase, is involved ALKBH3-regulated cells. The modified A71 at exon ATP5D...

Abstract Oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma is a deadly disease where systemic therapy has relied upon empiric chemotherapy despite the presence of genomic alterations pointing to candidate therapeutic targets, including recurrent amplification gene encoding receptor tyrosine kinase epidermal growth factor (EGFR). Here, we demonstrate that EGFR-targeting small-molecule inhibitors have efficacy in EGFR-amplified oesophageal (ESCC), but may become quickly ineffective. Resistance can occur...

Recent studies indicate that N6-methyladenosine (m6A) RNA modification may regulate ferroptosis in cancer cells, while its molecular mechanisms require further investigation. Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry (HPLC/MS/MS) was used to detect changes m6A levels cells. Transmission electron microscopy and flow cytometry were mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (ROS). sequencing (RNA-seq) employed analyze the factors regulating ferroptosis. The antioxidative and anticancer effects of extracted flavonoids from Pink Lady apples on human colon cancer LoVo cells breast MCF-7 were evaluated. It was found that the property peel-flavonoids (Peel-F) more effective than flesh-flavonoids (Flesh-F). Meanwhile, both Peel-F Flesh-F can inhibit cell growth in a dose-dependent manner, with IC50 values 110.33 ± 2.52 mg mL(-1) 378.14 1.64 for 58.42 1.39 296.06 3.71 cells. The excessive production of inflammatory cytokines during invasive infection primarily mediates the pathophysiology sepsis. To improve survival septic patients, many selective or mediator-specific anti-inflammatory agents have been developed. Saikosaponin A (SsA), a triterpenoid saponin isolated from Radix Bupleuri, inhibits proinflammatory mediators in several cell types and protects against CCl4-induced liver injury rats. However, whether SsA treatment provides protective effects sepsis...

A method of improving the angular random walk (ARW) a fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) using ring resonator (FRR) to reduce relative intensity noise (RIN) is demonstrated. An FRR reduces RIN near proper frequency and improves ARW. The analytical forms for transfer function power transmission are derived when free spectral range much narrower than source bandwidth. Building couplers with low excess loss enhances reduction. For coupling ratios, there trade-off between reduction transmission. ratios...
