Abstract The far-from-equilibrium solidification during additive manufacturing often creates large residual stresses that induce solid-state cracking. Here we present a strategy to suppress cracking in an additively manufactured AlCrFe 2 Ni high-entropy alloy via engineering phase transformation pathway. We investigate the microstructures formed laser powder-bed fusion and directed energy deposition, encompassing broad range of cooling rates. At high rates (10 4 −10 6 K/s), observe...
The current toolkit of biocatalysts for the production enantiomerically pure chiral amines is largely restricted to amine transaminases, ammonia lyases, or genetic variants monoamine oxidase N(MAO-N) from Aspergillus niger. Flavin-dependent oxidases have apparent advantage using molecular oxygen as a stoichiometric oxidant and their reactions are irreversible. To expand increase substrate spectrum bacterial flavin-dependent cyclohexylamine (CHAO) enable deracemization secondary amines,...
Current methods of measuring disease progression neurodegenerative disorders, including Parkinson's (PD), largely rely on composite clinical rating scales, which are prone to subjective biases and lack the sensitivity detect signals in a timely manner. Digital health technology (DHT)-derived measures offer potential solutions provide objective, precise, sensitive that address these limitations. However, complexity DHT datasets derive numerous digital features were not previously possible...
Abstract The human living environment is influenced by intense solar activity that exhibits periodicity and regularity. Although many deep-learning models are currently used for cycle prediction, most of them based on a multistep pattern. In this paper prediction method one-step pattern proposed with the temporal convolutional network neural model, in which historical data input only one value predicted at time. Through an autoregressive strategy, added to sequence generate next output. This...
Bring in the new: Naphthospironone A (1), a novel polycyclic metabolite with an unprecedented spiro[bicyclo[3.2.1]octene-pyran]dione ring system, was isolated from alkalophilic Nocardiopsis sp. (YIM DT266). Its complete structural assignment absolute stereochemistry elucidated by spectroscopic data, X-ray crystal diffraction, and calculation of optical rotation using DFT methods. exhibited moderate cytotoxic antibiotic bioactivities.
Abstract The allylation of aromatic and aliphatic aldehydes with allyltrichlorosilanes has been catalyzed a new Lewis base organocatalyst, 1,1′‐biscarboline N,N′ ‐dioxide high enantioselectivities up to 99% for 4‐methoxybenzaldehyde 97% ee cycloformaldehyde, respectively. In total, 13 heteroaryl were tested.
Six new azaphilone derivatives, talaraculones A–F (1–6), together with five known analogues (7–11), were obtained from the saline soil-derived fungus Talaromyces aculeatus. The absolute configurations of 1 and 6 assigned by quantum chemical calculations electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectra. Compounds 5 represent first reported derivatives a C4 aliphatic side chain methylal group at C-3, respectively. Talaraculones A B (1 2) exhibited stronger inhibitory activity against α-glucosidase...
It is well-known that the equilibrium of enzymatic Kolbe–Schmitt reaction unfavorable for carboxylation direction. A new method was developed to push toward resorcinol and catechol by adding quaternary ammonium salts into system. The yields products were increased up 97% from less than 40%. precipitation capacity carboxylic acid driving force shift. Therefore, effective phenols has been achieved first time.
Psychotripine, a trimeric pyrroloindoline derivative with an unprecedented hendecacyclic system bearing hexahydro-1,3,5-triazine unit, was isolated from the leaves of Psychotria pilifera. The structure elucidated on basis spectroscopic and quantum theory. A possible biogenesis also postulated.
We report the 87Sr optical lattice clock developed at National Time Service Center. achieved a closed-loop operation of based on atoms. The linewidth spin-polarized peak is 3.9 Hz with laser pulse length 300 ms, which corresponds to Fourier-limited 3 Hz. fitting in-loop error signal data shows that instability approximately , affected primarily by white noise. fractional frequency difference averages down for an averaging time 3000 s.

Plant natural products have been particularly important due to their use in food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical industries. In particular, Traditional Chinese Medicine provides a precious potential for the discovery of bioactive development novel modern medicines. However, existing production methods plant such as chemical synthesis extraction does not meet current demand. Due environmental economic concerns, engineered valuable microbial hosts has become an attractive alternative platform....
