Osteoarthritis (OA), which is characterized by progressive degradation of the articular cartilage, most prevalent form human arthritis. Accumulating evidence has shown that polydatin (PD) exerts special biological functions in a variety diseases. However, whether it protects against OA development remained unknown. Here, we investigated anti-inflammatory and chondroprotective effects PD on interleukin (IL)-1β-induced osteoarthritic chondrocytes surgical destabilization medial meniscus mouse...

Abstract Osteoarthritis (OA), which is principally featured by progressive joint metabolic imbalance and subsequent degeneration of articular cartilage, a common chronic disease. Arctigenin (ATG), dietary phyto‐oestrogen, has been described to have potent anti‐inflammatory effects. Nevertheless, its protective effects on OA not clearly established. The target our following study evaluate the ATG IL‐1β–induced human chondrocytes mouse model. Our results revealed that pre‐treatment effectively...

The timely administration of glucagon is a standard clinical practice for the treatment severe hypoglycemia. However, process involves cumbersome steps, including reconstitution labile and filling syringe, which cause considerable delays in emergency situations. Moreover, multiple dosages are often required to prevent recurrence hypoglycemic episode because short half-life plasma. Herein, we develop glucagon-loaded long-dissolving microneedle (GLMN) patch that exhibits properties fast onset...

In this paper, the damaged coal specimens under different confining pressures are researched objects. order to quantify parameters, methods were presented by using stereology principle, virtual sectioning technique and computer tomography. Based on box counting dimension of cracks in sections, three orthogonal sections selected. Then, specific surface area damage tensors calculated indicate states specimens.
