Ferroptosis is an iron-dependent, oxidative cell death, and characterized by iron-dependent accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) within the cell. It has been implicated in various human diseases, including cancer. Recently, ferroptosis as a non-apoptotic form death induced small molecules emerging specific cancer types, however, its relevance colorectal (CRC) unexplored remains unclear. Here, we showed that inducer RSL3 initiated ROS HCT116, LoVo HT29 CRC cells over 24 h time...

Abstract Ferroptosis, a novel form of programmed cell death, is characterized by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation and has been shown to be involved in multiple diseases, including cancer. Stimulating ferroptosis cancer cells may potential strategy for therapy. Therefore, ferroptosis-inducing drugs are attracting more attention treatment. Here, we showed that erianin, natural product isolated from Dendrobium chrysotoxum Lindl , exerted its anticancer activity inducing death inhibiting...

Background and Purpose: RAS mutations limit the effectiveness of anti-epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) monoclonal antibodies in combination with chemotherapy for metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) patients. Therefore, new cell death forms have focused on identifying indirect targets to inhibit Ras-induced oncogenesis. Recently, emerging evidence has shown potential triggering ferroptosis therapy, particularly eradicating aggressive malignancies that are resistant traditional...

Curcumenol, an effective ingredient of Wenyujin, has been reported that exerted its antitumor potential in a few cancer types. However, the effect and molecular mechanism curcumenol lung are largely unknown. Here, we found induced cell death suppressed proliferation cells. Next, demonstrated ferroptosis was predominant method contributed to curcumenol-induced vitro vivo for first time. Subsequently, using RNA sequencing, long non-coding H19 (lncRNA H19) significantly downregulated cells...

We present detailed studies of the relationship between ionic conductivity and segmental relaxation in polymer electrolytes. The analysis shows that can be decoupled from dynamics strength decoupling correlates with fragility but not glass transition temperature. These results call for a revision current picture transport relate observed phenomenon to frustration packing rigid polymers, where loose local structure is also responsible increase their fragility.

Baicalin, as a natural active ingredient extracted and isolated from the traditional Chinese medicine Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi., has been potentially used in various areas for its antioxidative, antitumor, anti-inflammatory, anti-proliferative activities. Although several studies have reported antitumor effects of baicalin against cancer types, beneficial on lung not yet elucidated. Therefore, therapeutic molecular mechanisms cell lines H1299 H1650 were investigated. Here, results...

Abstract 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) is known as a first-line chemotherapeutic agent against colorectal cancer (CRC), but drug resistance occurs frequently and significantly limits its clinical success. Our previous study showed that the protocadherin 17 ( PCDH17 ) gene was methylated functioned tumor suppressor in CRC. However, relationship between 5-FU CRC remains unclear. Here, we revealed more highly expressed 5-FU-sensitive tissues than 5-FU-resistant tissues, high expression of correlated...
