Periodical changes in bioimpedance caused by blood perfusion are relatively fast and weak; therefore, a fast, high-precision imaging system is required. A novel electrical impedance tomography (EIT) proposed for real-time imaging. Synchronous parallel sampling combined with timely excitation switching control to achieve acquisition maintain high accuracy. To further improve the overall precision of system, bipolar-mirror feedback voltage controlled current source an internal calibration unit...

Electrical impedance tomography (EIT) is a promising medical technique for monitoring brain injury through the reflection of electrical changes in internal tissues. However, contact impedances at electrode-scalp interfaces can still notably affect EIT accuracy. Hence, we propose method real-time multi-channel cerebral using reference electrode attached close to head vertex. This allows approximate inter-channel differences and over time impedances. The experimental results on 36 volunteers...

Abstract Objective : This study investigated the feasibility of electrical impedance tomography (EIT) for monitoring deterioration ischemic lesion after onset stroke. Approach Fifteen rats were randomly distributed into two groups: operated to establish a right middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) ( n = 10), and sham-operated 5). Then, kept 2 h under anesthesia EIT monitoring. Subsequently, descriptive statistical analysis was performed on whole-brain resistivity changes,...

Head movement interferences are a common problem during prolonged dynamic brain electrical impedance tomography (EIT) clinical monitoring. mainly originate from body movements of patients and nursing procedures performed by medical staff, etc. These will lead to variation in boundary voltage signals, which affects image reconstruction. This study employed data preprocessing method based on wavelet decomposition inhibit head EIT data. Mixed Gaussian models were applied describe the...

Intracranial hypertension can potentially cause ischemia, herniation, and even death. Mannitol dehydration treatment is a common method for reducing increased intracranial pressure (ICP). However, the efficacy varies among patients improper use of mannitol may severe side effects. This study aims to find ways individually evaluate provide guidance treatments based on dynamic brain electrical impedance tomography (EIT). First, clustering methods were applied analyze relationship between EIT...

In this paper, we present a low complexity Time Of Arrival (TOA) estimator for direct-sequence ultra-wideband (DS-UWB) ranging system. With the assumption that TOA is integer multiples of chip duration, our decoupled multiuser (DEMR) employs integrate-and-dump filter (IDF) in sampling rate instead matched (MF) as front-end to reduce and simplify structure estimator. This subsampling simplified substantially dense multipath environment furthermore due long repetition time DS-UWB pulse....

In order to explore the relationship between impact of detection probe and human contact pressure on its imaging result in electrical impedance scanning techniques breast, there is a need design set device extract signal EIS transmit host long distance. The uses Wheatstone full-bridge converter based resistance-type strain gauge as an extraction method for signal. After pre-amplification processing extracted signals, voltage converted into 4-20mA current long-line transmission via XTR106...
