Fluorinated organoboranes serve as versatile synthetic precursors for the preparation of value-added fluorinated organic compounds. Recent progress has been mainly focused on transition-metal catalyzed defluoroborylation. Herein, we report a photocatalytic defluoroborylation platform through direct B-H activation N-heterocyclic carbene boranes, synergistic merger photoredox catalyst and hydrogen atom transfer catalyst. This atom-economic operationally simple protocol enabled an extremely...
1,2-Disubstituted alkenes such as vinyl arenes, silanes, and boronates are among the most versatile building blocks that can be found in every sector of chemical science. We herein report a noble-metal-free method accessing olefins through photo-induced decarboxylative Heck-type coupling using alkyl carboxylic acids, one ubiquitous blocks, feedstocks. This transformation was achieved absence external oxidants synergistic combination an organo photo-redox catalyst cobaloxime catalyst, with H2...
Ion-exchange membranes (IEMs) convert osmotic energy into electricity when embedded in a reverse electrodialysis cell. IEMs with both high permselectivity and ionic conductivity are highly needed to increase the conversion efficiency. The can be improved by increasing content of immobile charge carriers, but it is always accompanied undesirable decrease due excess swelling. Until now, breaking permselectivity-conductivity tradeoff still has remained challenge. Here, we demonstrate membrane...
Abstract Halorhodopsin, a light-driven chloride pump, utilizes photonic energy to drive ions across biological membranes, regulating the ion balance and conveying information. In pump process, chloride-binding chromophore (protonated Schiff base) is crucial, able form active center by absorbing light triggering transport cycle. Inspired halorhodopsin, we demonstrate an artificial using helical porphyrin channel array with excellent photoactivity specific selectivity. The channels are formed...
2-Iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX) is an important species for the oxidation of alcohols to aldehydes or ketones. An often-cited mechanism involving a hypervalent twist as rate-determining step (RDS) inconsistent with kinetic isotope effect (KIE) experiments. The computations larger basis sets reveal that reductive elimination C-H bond cleavage RDS (rate-determining step). Further computational/experimental studies suggest reactivity can be improved by adjusting trans influence Lewis acids.

The synthesis of heterocycles relies heavily on diverse sigmatropic rearrangements triggered by the cleavage X–Y (X, Y = C, O, N, S, I) bonds. However, a unified rearrangement approach for constructing heterocyclic libraries is highly desirable. Encouraged computational analysis [3,3]-sigmatropic rearrangements, we can now rapidly synthesize oxa-heterocycles treating N-phenoxyacetamides (Ph–ONHAc) with compounds containing an sp-hybridized carbon. generality process illustrated late-stage...
Linear-brush poly(styrene)-b-poly[oligo(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate] (PS-b-POEGMA) block copolymer incorporating a UV-crosslinkable coumarin group in PS block, self-assembled into cylindrical structure with POEGMA cylinders perpendicular to the film surface, which exhibit excellent CO2 separation properties. The was successfully synthesized by combination of atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) and click chemistry. molecular characterization diblock performed 1H nuclear...
The application scope of various bioconjugation technologies has been expanded through the implementation photoredox catalytic technology, establishing a novel biomolecular framework with exceptional residue selectivity. Herein, we report...
A computational study on the origin of activating effect for Pd-catalyzed directed C–H activation by concerted metalation-deprotonation (CMD) mechanism is conducted. DFT calculations indicate that strong acids can make Pd catalysts coordinate with directing groups (DGs) substrates more strongly and lower energy barrier. For CMD mechanism, electrophilicity center basicity corresponding acid ligand deprotonating bond are vital to overall Furthermore, this rule might disclose role some...
Structured illumination microscopy (SIM) can double the resolution beyond light diffraction limit, but it comes at cost of multiple camera exposures and heavy computation burden Fourier transforms. In this paper, we report a novel technique termed single-shot SIM, to overcome these limitations. A multi-task joint deep-learning strategy is proposed. Generative adversative networks (GAN) are employed generate five structured images based on image. U-Net reconstruct super-resolution image from...
Transition-metal-catalyzed amination of aryl halides has recently become the most important industrial method preparation substituted anilines. The use iron catalysis is always very advantageous due to low cost and toxicity this metal. This publication describes first Fe-catalyzed arylation It an contribution rapidly growing field in synthetic organic chemistry.
The Sonogashira reaction of aryl chlorides is a challenging process with only limited success that has so far been achieved. present method describes fast (in minutes) and convenient microwave-assisted coupling chlorides, including electron-rich substrates, such as terminal alkynes, which can be especially useful for the synthesis compounds libraries. Alkenyl are also suitable substrates under described conditions.
